Toolbanks (outdoors) Bulldog 7116 Evergreen Edging Shear, Silver

Looked at buying many different types of these shears, but in the end settled on these. Searched through 100’s of reviews and all brands had many negative reviews, so in the end I used my own knowledge and common sense to select the ones I felt looked best.These shears arrived the next day and I was able to use them 30 seconds after undoing the box. I used them for an hour straight and trimmed the edges of all my lawns which I’d previously prepared a week earlier with an ‘edging knife’.Many reviews give a poor rating due to people saying the hinge bolt keeps working loose. This is true and I did need to tighten it at least 5 times. For me this is no problem because as soon as i feel they are loosening off, I just flip the shears, give them a quick tighten on the wing nut by hand and I’m swiftly back on my way! I’ve since applied a small amount of light thread locking fluid to the mechanism thread and it hasn’t moved a millimetre since! Fantastic product and excellent quality! Highly recommend.

I bought these because they were longer and I used them today within hours of receiving them and I had no upper back pain which for me was pleasing. I would have liked them little more longer but hey they did a good job edging my wet lawn.Only draw back was the box they came in, some what on the big side apart from that thumbs up from me.

The screw connecting the two blades gets loose every 2-3 minutes, not suitable for long cuts.

They work fine, but the nut holding the blades together keeps working loose, and has to be tightened.

Quality product, well made and lightweight.

Excellent garden implement. Does what it says. Would recommend this item.

Very light so easy to use. Tension knob needs regular adjusting to keep best cut
