Q: What is the "dac input" button on the remote for? I'm running a dac into this. Am I supposed to be doing something with this?

this is when you are using this remote to control the Saturn CD player that has a built in DAC. you can plug your DAC into any of the high level inputs on the back of the Brio as long as it's not the phono input

Thanks for your question. The Rega Brio has a MM Phono input plus 4 line level inputs (for a CD player). World Wide Stereo is 41 years old and a proud authorized Rega dealer.

Q: Do you think this amp has enough oomph to power a Magnepan mmg in a small living room?

I haven't listened to Magnepan speakers since the 1980s, but I remember them needing lots of power to drive them. I remember it being a pure wattage issue. This amp is 50 watts, so it might be a bit iffy. I use mine to drive KEF Q150s bookshelf speakers and it does a great job at that. Very happy with the power, clarity, and the phone input is top notch if you listen to vinyl.
