Don't over tighten fittings that use an O ring.
Been over two years and still pumping. Had a little challenge with installation and thought I had a problem a year ago. The sell helped me and it's been doing its job. The way I looked at it is I could buy the name brand and expect it to last several years or buy a reasonably priced pump and replace it every year and still save money. So far I'm working on the third season and it's running quit and strong.

Quit working after 2weeks
Did my research and decided to order this one. Installed it within 2 days after receiving. Within 2 weeks it just stopped working!! Connected it to an alternate source of power and still did not work. Had a pool party planned for the next day. Called Amazon. Absolutely NO HELP. Their customer service is a waste of time. That was an hour and a half I’ll never get back!!! Removed the defective pump and went and acquired a USA made pump and installed it. Works great. Quiet and more than enough pressure. I will never buy another pump made in China. Piece of crap!!! Buyer beware!!!

Working well
Quick fix. Use with an outdoor timer wifi outlet extender. Working well for months now. Saved $$$ vs buying a new whisper flo that broke after a year

Quiet and powerful
When looking at the reviews I thought maybe 1 out of 6 were bad. I got the one. It started making a quiet bearing noise after about 2 weeks and completely stopped after 35 days. It was a Friday when I called (no answer) and emailed. Turns out they are in China, so I was calling at 3 am on a Saturday in China. By Monday I got responses. Anyway, I got it replaced and this one is great. Quiet, powerful and uses less electricity too. The way it is designed, I can replace one with another one in 5 minutes and the only tool needed is a screwdriver for the ground wire. It also has,a 2 year warranty and if you register it they give you another year. Runs much cooler than my previous pumps as well.

Small but mighty 3/4hp dual speed
This pump replaced a Pentair superflo 1hp dual speed. The Pentair pump cost $800 and the bearings went bad on the motor in less than 4 years. That is just unacceptable. That works out to $200 a year. Why would U buy another? I bought this little Bomgie pump for less than $200. It hooked right up. Since I got a robotic cleaner I do not need to use it to vacuum the pool but I think it would do the job if called upon. I have a small 12,000 gallon pool. I run it in low speed 10 hours a day and get 2 turnovers. It is makes less noise than the Pentair ever did. The question will be longevity. Even if it last only a year that will be comparable to the Pentair.

Happy I went with Bomgie!
Constructed from quality materials and runs like a champ! Will buy again should this one fail. Easy installation for anyone who’s worked with pvc pipe. This pump has a cord you plug into an outlet. I needed it hardwired so off with the plug and wired into the timer. Pump is great value for the money!

This pump works great
I’ve only had this installed for three weeks, but so far it is kicking butt. Skip the Hayward and all the other stupid expensive pumps. I’m in Central Texas with heat that puts a lot of stress on my pool motor. I had a a.o.smith motor prior to this, it was either a three-quarter or 1.5 hp at most. I was often replacing the capacitor, and then finally it just totally crapped out. After reading these reviews, I decided to go hard and all the way up to a 3 hp. My pool is 36,000 gallons in ground. My equipment is plus or -25 feet from the pool and lower level. I rarely get the chance to give any type of pool equipment a good review so I’m definitely doing it here. This thing moves a ton of water. You won’t have to run your pool motor as much but you will have to backwash more often than you normally did. And not that I care, but it’s pretty quiet too
