Stays cold for a long time. Quite large but still discreet.
I don’t have insulin to chill but I have some other medication that needs to be refrigerated. Work means I need to carry it around and this provides a convenient way to do that.I put the ice packs in the freezer overnight. They are frozen but still slightly malleable; that’s how they are even if frozen for a week. They’re actually really good for icing my wrist or hand/fingers - I have an old sporting injury that keeps recurring when I lift things that are too heavy or sit and type all day on laptop. These ice packs are just the right size to be effective and be malleability helps them fit specifically around my wrist and fingers. The ice packs fit into either side of the zipped carrier. There’s elastic pouches on each side of the carrier and some (3) smaller elastic holders that can be used If your medication is long and thin like an insulin pen.The pack stays cold for at least 14 hours for me, when I keep it in my handbag. The outside temperature is in the low tens, so between 10-14 degrees. I can prolong that if I store it well ie in the boot of the car. I also have a cool bag and when I put the ouch inside there, the cool bag provides an extra layer of insulation so it stays cooler longer. The pouch is bigger and slightly longer than I thought it would be. It could comfortably fit two of my iPhone 12 pro max’s in.I haven’t travelled through an airport, so not sure if the ice pack will get through security. I’m travelling soon so will try a ‘dummy run’ without meds, with one ice pack and hope it doesn’t get confiscated. I have a letter for my medication so will carry that as a back up if I’m questioned.
