Pack of 100 staples for above-ground pet-fence installation. 100 staples. Great alternative to burying containment system wire. Perfect for use in grassy area, landscaped area, or wooded area. Excellent for use with all wired pet containment systems for easy, quick installation above ground - no digging! It is recommended that sod staples are placed every 2 to 5 feet. Wire is typically completely hidden within 7-14 days.

Very pleased with purchase
Very fast and easy to use. I was able to place them, then step down on them and they went straight into the ground.Only messed up 8 out of almost 400 that I used because the ground had a few spots that was harder or had pea gravel mixed with it so they bent over. But I was basicly very pleased with them. Also thank you so very much for such a fast delivery. I ordered one afternoon and was told it would be like 5 -7 business day before delivery, I was totally surprised to receive them on the second day after ordering. Thank you so very much for making things so fast & easy.

I liked these staples as well as the 14 gauge wire
I liked these staples as well as the 14 gauge wire. I did not need to use very many of these as I decided to bury the wire but they were handy to have when I needed to anchor the wire on turns or raised areas. A couple of the staples hit rocks and survived the encounter to be replaced elsewhere. I suspect more will be needed when I reach an area that is rough and brushy, with little chance of being able to bury the wire. I was pleased with their price and performance. They should do a good job anchoring wire to the ground surface.

Fast easy way to install fence
Works great it's a easy way to install the fence wire without digging. Just keep the wire tight and down in the grass and use the staples ever few feet. After a few weeks it gets hidden in the grass and you can't even find it. This is the second time I have installed a fence this way and have not had any problems with it. The lawnmower just cuts right over but has never cut the wire.

Better than burying the line
These worked well to keep the wire for the electric Fence down in the places it was inconvenient to bury it. We put part of the line back in the woods. Some of it we protected inside an old hose and other parts we tacked down with these staples I would definitely recommend at least a couple packages for a few acres of woods area.

Exactly what I needed
These are nice big yard staples, like the ones you would use on weed fabric. I recently re-wired our pet containment system, and wanted an easier way to get the wire all the way down to ground level, and below the lawnmower blades. With a 1 lb. rubber mallet and box of these staples, my son and I were able to lay down 375' of the new wire and pound in the staples to the ground in about 45 minutes. This will definitely speed up the lawn mowing process, instead of getting out and moving the wire out of the way.

Work, but Shipping Wasn't Great
Disappointed with the shipping. I've bought these before (100 pieces), and they come in a box you can neatly and easily store in. This shipping (400 pieces) are just thrown into a shipping box. Very disappointing.

Too flimsy for hard soil; not extreme
I bought these to tack down an electric dog fence. Too flimsy to be of use in hard TX soil, every other one bent, and I gave up. I would only recommend considering for soft soil.

OK for decent soil.
Not really too rugged but I had not expected them to be. Probably would work fine in "normal" soil, not so well in gravelly clay. As I said, I wasn't expecting too much and they will be useful in the flower beds.
