Wow.
So, "Wow." may not be the most poetic or grandiloquent headline ever written, but as they say, brevity is wit. And speaking of wit, whoever put this clever 4x4 matrix device together certainly had some wits. Because this is one awesome little box. What does it a 4x4 HDMI matrix DO, you might be wondering? That's easy. It will take up to 4 HDMI inputs...and they can be any HDMI input...one can be a gaming system, another can be a program from cable / satellite, one can be a Blu-ray player, and the other could be a streaming / Firestick type device. Just as for instances. And you can take any of those 4 inputs, and send any of them to any of the 4 HDMI outputs. So, you can independently change what's on 1 tv to any of the up to 4 signals you have coming in.To say it's wonderfully done is an understatement. Now, if I had to wish at it, I wish it reached a LITTLE higher into the "gaming realm" and offered 4k@120hz or higher. But, frankly, the fact it does 4k@60 is still decently impressive. I would honestly have expected something this flexible and effective at this price point to be hobbled by a 4k@30hz limit, but no, they at least made sure it supported 4k@60hz, so I can't be too unhappy with it.It's so brilliantly simple to set up and operate. I mean, it's inputs 1, 2, 3, 4, and outputs A, B, C, and D. Plug the HDMI cables in where you want them to go. It has a nice little wireless remote, which maintains the utter simplicity that it should have, with each output having a 1-4 input selector button. I mean, you could literally turn the setup and operation of this over to your average 11 year old, and they would have it up and running in half an hour.Beyond being amazingly simple to setup and operate, it does still include some otherwise advanced features, such as a pair of TOSLINK / optical outputs, as well as a pair of 1/8" stereo phono outputs, for connection to headphones or stereo / amplifier systems. Only A and B HDMI outputs have TOSLINK and 1/8" phono outputs, however. So you're limited to either A or B running your "main audio" channels for a built in audio system. B and C outputs will have audio over HDMI only. It's a small limitation, really, and thankfully they do have a mute button for the A and B audio outputs for when you need it. Very, very nice. For the techies out there, it also allows you to force various EDID modes (16 of them) via DIP switches for sets that get grumpy and won't automatically down-convert.This is a fantastically done, beautifully executed 4x4 matrix system that supports up to 4k@60hz for all 4 inputs and outputs. If you're setting up an AV system someplace that would take advantage of something like this, this beauty from Portta Store is an absolute steal for what it can do. Let's hope they build on this fantastic device, and come out with a "Gamer Enhanced" edition with 4k@144hz support to all 4 channels. 5 stars, very recommended, and a great deal, especially if you catch it on sale!

Works Well
This arrived this afternoon, and I was eager to unbox and put it through some testing. We currently have four 4K TVs with four input sources on a similar product in the music studio, but that maxes out at 720p when more than one monitor is being used at a time. I was eager to see how a 4K all-around unit worked. But, lets be honest, my eyes can't tell the difference. Still, I like the idea of having the full resolution available in play.I spent some time with the manual to make sure I had the little settings toggles in the right place to do 4 in and 4 out, and then powered everything up. It worked just as expected and as well as our previous unit. No, I can't see the difference between 4k and 720p, so I'll just have to take their word for it.I obviously can't speak for longevity yet, as I just got it, but will update if there are any issues. At this point, I don't expect any because everything is working flawlessly and everything connected is on UPS backup power units too. This technology has become an invaluable tool in our home studio, so it's really exciting to make this upgrade. At its current price, it is competitive with others that do this work, so that it was easy to plug in and play makes it a really good value in my book. And so, I would suggest it, if you're looking to be able to switch between multiple monitors and multiple input sources. It is working very well. I should note that two of the input sources are on wireless HDMI transmitters and receivers, as well as one of the monitors, and all of that worked in this set up without issue as well. It seems really great!

Works great on my 4K setup
It's really nice having a 4x4 matrix. I can switch any video input to any output using the included remote. My TV is the main output with two 27 inch monitors on either side. The flexibility is excellent and it's easy to use. Some of these matrix switchers seem to have problems with my Roku box causing HDCP type errors but this one has been flawless.
