Powerfull, but probably too powerful and loud for a bathroom fan...
This is an industrial type fan. If you're getting it for your bathroom, oh it'll do the trick alright, but it's going to be louder than your average bathroom fan by quite a bit (maybe that's a good thing for those who've eaten the Taco Bell food...) It's got a very power suction that you can feel when you place your hand over it. It comes with a cord (three prong) and an on/off switch, but I'm just going to strip the cord before the switch and hook it up to the wall switch so it'll act like an ordinary (yet extraordinary) bathroom fan (turns on when you flip the wall switch). The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't come in a white option. Will probably just paint it, no big.Overall, it's hefty. It feels like really high quality. Although it's loud, I think it has a nice sound to it, but I'm just into stuff like that, so I'm nerding out with it. Again, it's overkill for the bathroom, but would be great for the kitchen or even exhaust for a small shop or paint booth (really small). Anyway, hope this helps!

Blows a LOT of air!
11/23/2024 : At $43.99, before 20% coupon, at the time of writing, this is a very good deal for a decent vent that can blow a LOT of air! It is noisy, for sure, but also, kind of quiet for how much air it moves. Which doesn't mean it isn't noisy, it certainly is! My temporary home office gets very warm and stuffy, and a regular vent fan was not clearing it out and keeping it cool enough for me, so I got this to run periodically, or to place near a window to speed up the process of airing out the apartment. Can't complaint, it plugs in, has an on/off switch, and does everything exactly as it said it would, and all the details are on the website. Even if I don't end up using for the home office, I'm glad to have it around, I'm sure it'll find many use cases!

Excellant airflow, fairly quiet, pefect for ventilating spaces
Often, fans like this have to be direct wired, or you have to supply the power cord and wire it yourself, but then one is pretty much what we consider plug-and-play, you simply take it out of the bog, chunk it into the window, opening, or wherever you need, and plug it in.Don't let the small size fool you, as this fan is specifically designed to move a lot of air quickly. . .almost 600 cfm, and yet it's really fairly quiet, especially considering it's a ball bearing motor. The air makes more noise than the motor itself. Being a ball bearing motor is a plus, because high speed and high precision along with longevity are normally what you see with ball bearing motors.Another plus is having a backdraft damper, so that when the fan is not running, air cannot come back into the structure/area through the fan. Do pay attention to the installation warnings about the proper direction when mounting it, so that the backdraft damper works correctly.Overall, it packs a lot of umpf in a small footprint, which makes it easier to install and more versatile, from ventilating a kitchen/bathroom/utility, to a basement, crawspace, greenhouse, garage, etc.

Powerful with a Switch!
I love everything about this unit. I purchased it to assist with my garage ventilation. The check valve damper part opens itself and closes as you turn off the fan. The entire thing is powerful. It's loud because it is moving a lot of air. I have installed it on the very top of my garage to assist with my non powered rotating fan, it's perfect. You can really feel the air move. It has a switch. Exactly what I need to turn it on and off. The best part is the grill. I do not have to worry about something getting caught in the metal blades.

Nice quiet fan and accessories are included
Fans are fairly simple things but you still have to get the important parts right. This fan does that. The metal is not too thin. The cord is attached and the switch in the cord feels solid. The vent flaps open and close easity to prevent back draft. Happily it moves a lot of air without a lot of noise. The installation accessories are included so it was working for me quickly.

Integrating this into air filtration system
Nice fan, attractive grille. I'm not a fan of the damper, but that's only because my particular usage case doesn't call for this style.Fan motor is easily reversed if needed; I'm using it to help turn over air from a workshop and it is already proving its worth. Landed on this one due to the convenience of having a 3-prong plug with the disconnect toggle built into the cord.

strong fan
I am using this to vent a large, homemade dehydration cabinet. It's a really strong fan that moves air very well. It might be a bit too strong for my purposes. I plan to use a same-CFM inlet fan and some computer fans to move the air around inside.
