We've used it through chilly nights as an additional layer and it has made us so cozy but without feeling stifling.One side features a jacquard woven pattern the other side is made of soft brushed fabric, making it incredibly cozy. It’s a nice touch that elevates the overall feel of the duvet have two different sides to use.Care is hassle-free, too, I appreciate that it’s machine washable, (remember to use a cool and gentle cycle) which is a must for easy maintenance and keeping the duvet fresh and at its best.This Whale Flotilla duvet combines practicality with style, making it a great addition to any bedroom. It’s also a thoughtful gift option especially now it is so much colder and this is way cheaper than popping teh heating on.

I opted for the purple variant and it is a lovely rich colour. The single sizing is accurate too. I wasn't quite sure whether this is intended as a standalone duvet (it certainly looks nice enough in the purple) or whether it is a comforter to go on top of bedding for extra warmth on cold nights. Either way, it is cosy and has a decent weight to it - I think the 7.5 tog description seems fair. It also washes well, it's been through a 40°C machine wash and tumble dry with no issues. The quality seems good, I was a bit unsure about the random white stitching throughout (surely purple thread would be more subtle) but I think it might be an intentional design choice. It does look a little bit odd.This product works well and the option to use it as a standalone duvet (ie; no messing around with duvet covers) is certainly a selling point. The price is fair too.

This is quite a nice coverless duvet. It is available in single, double and king size and the material feels really pleasant on the skin. It is obviously washable but the king size would require a large machine. It also makes a great bed spread and there are five colours to chose from.

This is the softest and warmest quilt cover. Even though it's described as a coverless duvet, it can be covered. It'll keep it nice and clean. But without a cover for the purposes of the review, it's the softest and warmest quilt.I cannot recommend this enough.

I picked up this duvet because I wanted something lightweight but warm enough for use in a range of temperatures. The fact that it’s coverless and reversible really appealed to me, as changing duvet covers can be a hassle. This duvet has been a great addition to my bedroom.The material feels soft and comfortable against the skin. It’s warm enough for cooler nights but doesn’t feel heavy or stifling. The 7.5 tog strikes a good balance, and I haven’t found myself overheating, even during mild nights. The reversible design is a nice touch it’s like having two looks in one.One of the standout features is the coverless design. It makes washing so much simpler, as I can just pop the whole thing in the machine without dealing with covers. That said, it’s slightly bulkier than a standard duvet when washing, so make sure you’ve got a large enough machine. It dries relatively quickly, which is another bonus.If I had to nitpick, I’d say the stitching along the edges could be a bit sturdier. It hasn’t come undone, but it doesn’t feel as robust as I’d like for something that’s frequently laundered.Overall, this duvet is lightweight, cosy, and incredibly convenient. If you want something fuss-free that still feels luxurious, this is a great choice.

this is a surprisingly decent duvet for the money. it's warm but not overly thick at 7.5 tog and is a good balance for those who sleep in pyjamas and dont want to roast under a 10+ tog duvet in the winter if the heating comes on in the morning.the coverless fabric is a little swishy and shiny but at this price point it's not a deal breaker for me at all and is still very comfortable to sleep under with it contacting your skin.overall very pleased with it and will get some great use out of it this winter.
