Nemco 55050AN-R Ribbon Fry Kutter

I saw this ribbon fry cutter at a summer festival in Michigan and thought it would be great to be able to produce ribbon fries for my seven grandchildren. Somehow, I thought that the cutter would cost less than $100 but that simply wasn't the case. However, if you're serious about making ribbon fries, this is the cutter you need. It's expensive, but worth the money to create exceptional ribbon fries. I mounted mine on a nice piece of oak board so that it is stabilized and portable. With the limited size of household friers available, you can cut far more potatoes than you can fry in the same amount of time. It takes less than 30 seconds to cut a full-size russet potato once the potato has been inserted into the cutter.

I really like this ribbon cutter. It makes long spiral potatoes. When deep fried they are delicious crispy chips.I bought another blade that attaches to this cutter that makes thicker ribbons and are like French fries when deep fried. You'll need a skewer for that blade but the blade that comes with this cutter doesn't need and can't be used with a skewer.There's a bracket that can be mounted on a counter and the cutter attaches to it. It holds the cutter sturdy while in use.I think this cutter cleans easily and is very easy to use.

Works great for what we needed it for. The metal is not super sturdy though and we did break it within a month of using it. My husband ended up welding it to fix it and we are back in business.

WE like this a lot!!! it's heavy duty and durable, cuts good, spirals the cuts, ribbon fries are great. gotta get a drill attachment tho. but other than that super nice!! people love our ribbon fries.

As the saying goes...”you get what you pay for” there are some cheap ones out there but this cutter is awesome. Spent a little more than I wanted to, but it’s worth it! I use it on my food truck and love it. If you’re on the fence about buying it...do it. You won’t be disappointed.
