Regardless of how many new tunes pop vocalist Jeffrey Osborne tries to cram into this performance--and there are too many--this is the work of an artist who's trying desperately to rest firmly on his past. And depending on whom you talk to, it's either an underrated past or one that has always been shaky. Osborne fans will undoubtedly love this collection. He ventures back to his days with '70s funk outfit LTD for such jams as "Concentrate on You" and "Love Ballad," all the way through the solo material of the '80s that netted him five gold and platinum records. Osborne's reputation has always rested with his velvety voice and heart-on-his-sleeve ballads, such as "On the Wings of Love" (performed "unplugged" here with nothing but an acoustic guitar, and Osborne's passionate reading makes it sound as if he's doing it for the first time, rather than the millionth). However, this performance comes across more like a party. The tunes, like "Stay with Me Tonight," which foolishly segues into Cameo's "Da Butt," are mostly upbeat. He opens appropriately with "Party Hearty," and if you are an Osborne fan, you'll definitely enjoy the shindig. --Dave McCoy

If you're going to sell a product to customer, make sure the product is in good condition!
DVD kept freezing up in the middle of the songs! Too many scratches on the DVD. I was very disappointed. I was all set to watch this DVD and was not expecting the dvd to freeze up

Excellent DVD and performance
I love the sound quality of the BET Jazz DVDs. They make me feel as though I am actually at the concert. So far I've bought Jeffrey, Bobby Womack, and Lou Rawls. Jeffrey's performance was great and I was up and dancing on the first song. It made me want to party. Jeffrey sounded great. He sung most of his hits with the exception of Stranger. I am very glad that I purchased this DVD. You won't be disappointed.

DTS with no center channel
This is another of the BET series DVDs with something missing. While picture quality, sound and performance are all excellent I do not receive sound in the center speaker when I select the DTS option. BET studios should look into this engineering mishap in their future releases.

Soul Music & a Voice from the heavens
This DVD of Jeffrey Osborne is HOT! He can SANG & his voice is in top shape, the band is live & his interaction with the audience is top notch. I've seen him in concert live, & this DVD is excellent! The songs are classic, & he even sings some newer songs & classic LTD songs!

Skipped after watching it for the 2nd time, even within a brand new DVD player. Wouldn't buy from this seller again unless they offered a replacement.

Jeffrey Osborne
This concert was one in a million. Jeffrey is one of the best singers ever. Trust me you would never regret buying this dvd. The only thing that i was a lil disappointed is that it came in the card board dvd holder. I always like the hard plastic ones but more protected and you dont have to worry about it getting torn.
