I was dubious about what the quality was going to be given the extremely reasonable price. I needn't have been, arrived quickly and very good quality. they look much better than the standard terracotta. would definitely recommend. Only comment I would make is if you live in an area prone to vermin I would definitely purchase an additional mesh screen to fit inside the vent as the openings will allow mice to pass through.EDIT: Now think quality is not good. Have Been fitted for 2 weeks and all ready going rusty. Definitely ovoid!

Bought three to replace original vents in late Victorian property where originals had no insect screens so last summer wasps had decided one was a des res! Gave them a coat of black hammerite and glued stainless steel insect screens inside with some brass wool stuffed into opening for good measure and cemented the new vents in and job done. Good solid castings and will last decades, as did the originals.

We have a medieval building which had rather worn cast iron air bricks, but these were also suitable for this medieval building, much preferred to the rather more common modern brick air brick.
