So far so good
Germination rate great they are healthy and a nice addition to my bees flower garden. Save the bees and get chicory out of the deal. I would recommend.

Confused
Bit confused by this. The leaves look like dandelion leaves. I know they belong to the same family. I planted them in July this year. Hasn’t flowered yet.

Good germination. Confusing leaves
The media could not be loaded. I live in the southern US (8b/9a region), and these seeds sprouted within a week of planting. My soil is a slightly acidic clay mixture found here, and the added heat, 6+ hours of sun, and daily watering have yielded a great crop.My one qualm is this does seem to be a different variety of chicory from the one pictured. I don't have any flowers, but the leaves and lack of stalk are different from the ads. After some research, I learned endives are a type of chicory, and several other varieties of chicory do include edible leaves like the ones in my garden. The plants are still young, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for flowers and edible roots. In the meantime, I'm making salads from the greens.

Started
I can’t wait to see the little flowers start growing on these. I planted them along with my grass so and they’ve already started to grow. I’m excited to see the finish product. I’m pretty sure it’ll be about February March, but they did start to bloom not bloom, but you know.

Great for the back yard! Needs protection from deer!
I ordered these seeds not quite 2 years ago, planted them in the spring. I did two plantings, about 10% of the seeds in my rustic back yard which is partially protected by a five foot fence and is further protected by a big dog inside an electronic fence. This did well, coming up with beautiful blue flowers which open in the mornings and then close and lose color in the afternoon sun. The smaller plants can be used as salad greens (as long as the dog is kept out of then). This planting is reseeding itself down the hill and into the woods. The only trouble is that there are deer in the woods around the house which eat it whenever they can. Down the hill you can see the boundary of the dog's electronic fence, with chicory inside and none outside. They ate it all from the field and the old barnyard where I divided and planted the other 90%. Deer will ignore grass, poison ivy, turnips, other favored plants and eat every single stalk! (People who like watching the deer would probably also like to plant persimmons and hazelnuts.)
