API Bio-Chem Zorb Pouch, Size 6 6ct (6 x 1ct)

First, in case anyone else wondered as I did, 2 pouches easily fit into an Aquaclear 110 replacing the charcoal bag. It does cause the bio media bag on top to ride a bit high, but there are lots of other places for bacteria to take hold, I consider the bio media a minor component and for reasons below, this won't be the permanent arrangement.This is a new 65 gallon tank build into which I'm moving my entire 9 year old 20 gallon planted community. Between all that commotion, the addition of some new driftwood and the use of a baked clay absorbant as a substrate in the new tank, there was a significant amount of cloudiness. With 2 pouches in the filter the water was mostly clear in less than 24 hours and I was then able to move the fish in. After the fish moved in I pulled the filter media to check and the foam pad at the bottom of the stack really did not need attention. I rinsed it and the Bio-Chem out under RO water and replaced anyway.I expect to remove one pouch after a week or so and continue running the filter that way which will then allow the bio media to settle into the filter better. Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This product is AMAZING and WORKS!! My fish tank was giving off alot of Tannins from the drift wood I have in my tank (which causes the colored water). As you can see in the before and after pics/video, this was the result after using this product. I will state that I did a 40% water change and added two bags of bio absorb to my tank and in 4 days it was crystal clear. I am a fan of this.

I used to use these in a Rena XP4 and then switched to Fluval FX4 and started getting loose media and bags. Tried a few other brands, results were not great. I switched back to these and the tank got back to normal fast. My only complaint is that you buy one bag and toss it. I wish the media was sold as loose media in big containers to drop costs and give options to consumers.

Was amazed at how quickly and how well this removed yellow tint from our water due to the real drift wood in our fish tank.
