Masterball

This is not a particularly common twisty puzzle.It is not even easy to find here on amazon by searching "Masterball".I found it by searching "Masterball Puzzle".This puzzle was patened by Geza Gyovai on Aug 15,1987.That is a long way back in the worsd of twisty puzzles;Rubik's Cube first appeared in 1981...35 years ago.There are several versions.One is the "USA" shown here,another is call "Rainbow" consisting of 8 sections of 4 of pieces colored red ,orange yellow, green, blue ,violet and white.;and another with circus figures.There are probably even more versions,though the mechanism is the same for each.and each is 3" diameter.It does not look difficult but it is very challenging ,having a difficulty level of 8 on a scale of 10.It will also require one to learn algorithms to solve.It never obtained the popularity of the Rubik's Cube and that is probably why it is no longer made.Much the same can be said for the plethora of other twisty cubes.However, anyone who likes twisty cubes would be pleased to have a Masterball and would find it challenging. There are a videos of tutorials on YouTube along with a video showing how it can be disassembled and reassembled.One video suggests it is in Deutsch,but it is actually in English.It can also be found on Jaap's Puzzle Page website.
