Board works great for creating and changing lineups. Easy to see and read even I. Direct sunlight. Eraser is a bit tricky to figure out and get to work properly. The pen holder is also avery weak magney and will fall off easily. I've already lost the pen a twice in the first use so now I just keep it separate.

There should also be tab at the top to keep the card flat and secure.

This is a neat idea but the sports "field" or "court" things that slide into the back do not stay in place well and are flimsy.

The board could’ve been a good one but it not stable enough. The page will not hold and not strong enough to hold when in use!

I've read a lot on it "could be brighter" and maybe it could be. But on the field, in the sun, rain, or clouds, I use it for soccer coaching and it is a great scratch pad. I wasn't thrilled with the erase feature that you calibrate for lines. In the end, I use the whole page erase feature which works for me. You end up scratching and redoing so many things. But as a visual tool, I appreciate it for lineups and instruction.

I've been searching for a Boogie board that is durable and large enough to allow serious work. For a long time, the official Boogie board only went up to 8.5-inch in size (unless you want even smaller models that are not really just toys). So I kept buying 12-inch Boogie board knockoffs made in China. All of these had the same problem, i.e. the eraser will stop working after a few days/weeks of use. I find this to be too common to be a coincidence, i.e. it probably is a major hardware defect. Finally, I found what Ive been looking for. One thing I am not digging for is the fact that the board is transparent (it's meant to be that way so you can use different diagrams as an underlay) but I just want a black background which was not included in the package. Also the underlay papers are only held at the bottom with small sticky tapes so if you end up changing then often, I can see users keep changing tapes to prevent the papers from falling out and moving around. Wish this was handled more elegantly. But nothing is perfect and this comes very close.

I bought this for coaching . I works but I wish that the black background sheets were held in better.

I bought this as a gift. It is not usable at all. The eraser does not work even after calibrating several times.
