Driveway crack filler. Fills cracks.
I used a turkey cooker burner and an old cooking pot to melt the sealant. An axe makes quick work of the block. Hint use WD40 on the axe blade. It poured into the crack fine. I covered the tar with driveway sealer. Months later, the tar is still soft in the summer heat. any tar exposed above the existing driveway will become a mess when driven over. Sealed the cracks perfectly.I would recommend the product for driveway repair. It filled cracks up to 1/2”. My driveway is on a hill thus making the task of leveling the sealer a pain.

Best crackfiller
This product was not rated for how i used it but did the job and is holding up. I used a large propane weed burner type torch to heat a shovel and a scraper blade so that I could remove pieces off the block and put them into a large coffee can to be melted. This was tedious and potentially dangerous!. The coffee can was crushed at the top to form a pouring spout. I clamped a vice grip type pliers onto the can to act as a handle for pouring. I wore leather gloves to protect my hands from possible burns. I used the weed burner to melt the tar in the coffee can and pour it out...Carefully! This was a dangerous operation with a potential for spilling burning hot tar on myself. The upside is it filled the cracks and they still have not cracked back open even with the advent of winter.I used a angle grinder with a diamond blade to grind the cracks out a bit first prior to filling. Very happy with final result , but getting there was messy and dangerous. I will try to use the rope strips of tar next time that you melt into the cracks as that would be much less messy and much safer IMO.

it does work!
This is a big hunk of tar. It is meant for industrial heating units. That said, I am using it fill 1/8" to 1x/4" cracks in my driveway, so I have to break off small pieces to melt. I used a heavy hammer and a 4" wide chisel to cut of small pieces, not easy but do-able. I first melted the small pieces directly into the cracks with a hand held torch. I then made a melting pot using large coffee can, bending in a spout, and added a large handle opposite the spout. I then used my large weed torch to heat the tar and can, until a decent amount was liquid, then poured it into directly into the cracks. This was much faster and produced better results.

Professional grade hot pour for lasting fixes
Used the pourable crack filler but 2 years later and it was all cracked out with weeds growing. Decided hot pour was the way to go but with the amount of repairs, using the rope type tar you melt would have been outrageously expensive. This comes as 2 25 lb blocks. I found it's easiest to cut when it's cooler and to use an axe. Initially used a camp stove and small cast iron pot which worked fine but was taking too long. Switched to a turkey fryer burner and a cast iron Dutch oven from Harbor Freight. Works great. I'm sure these repairs will last.

Use what the pro's use! Best crack fill on the market!
Easy to melt and fill cracks on your driveway. Very pliable to expand and contract with the New England weather.
