Duke Cannon News Anchor Pomade for Natural Matte Finish Bundle, 2oz and 4.6oz

I haven’t used a pomade product since my mom made me use Brylcreem as a kid. After much research, including reading reviews online, I finally settled on Duke Cannon News Anchor pomade. Proved to be a good choice for me.Many other reviews note that it washes out easily with water, and it does. The hold is superb and lasts throughout the day under normal wear - no hat, not fussing with it, etc. By way of experimentation, I left it on for nearly seven hours and then combed through it to see what the result would be. It stayed as sculpted, but “poofed” out a bit. Nothing egregious, just a different look than when first applied.Regarding matte vs. shine... I have no experience with either. The product label indicates “Natural Look.” That seems appropriate. My hair appears neither dull nor shiny - maybe damp. Incidentally, I applied the product to damp hair. I tried it when my hair was dry but did not like applying it in that manner. It’s much easier to sculpt/style when my hair is damp. By “sculpt/style” I mean using my hands/fingers to attain the look I’m after.Another characteristic that some find important is scent. It is not scentless, nor does it advertise to be. The scent is light, but not offensive. Again, this is based on my observations, noting that some are more/less sensitive than others in this area.If you’re like me, trying to decide on a pomade for your particular hair type will be difficult without some context. So, the above results are what I’ve experienced with my hair - thin, straight hair that is salt and pepper colored with a thinning crown. My hair length is about one and three-quarter inches (grown out as one length from a quarter inch buzz cut). Your mileage may vary depending on your hair type, amount of product applied, and how you style your hair.Overall this product exceeds my expectations, and I will purchase it again when needed. The added bonus (now that I know this product works for me) is the 2 oz. travel size that comes with the larger container.

My husband loves this pomade! He has thick, a little coarse black hair and just a little bit if this product is all he needs to look like an anchorman 😊

Disappointed big time. Its promises medium to strong hold and a natural matte finish. It has a light hold and a glossy shine. Unless your hair is under 2 inches in length and you're going for a slick back look...stay far away.

This stuff is amazing, it's all I buy for the hubby now. He uses it everyday and a tub lasts over 6 months. Plus it comes with travel size.

Great value, does a perfect job of holding hair in place without becoming too sticky/greasy.

My son has tried so many different pomades and hair styling product. We found this one at a gas station/truck stop and gave it a try. It is the best thing he has used. I was happy to find it on Amazon!
