Flora and the Penguin (Flora & Friends)

This was a baby shower gift for someone who likes the Flora series and also likes penguins, so it was perfect. Lovely illustrations, lift the flaps, cute book.

I love this book, told beautifully through the clever and engaging illustrations.

When a child falls down and weeps because a book has to be returned to the library, you know it's time to buy her a copy of her own. The 'Flora and . . .' series of wordless books about a girl and some very exotic birds has lovely illustrations and surprising fold out pages. It's a keeper.

Wordless. Fun, but not a much fun as the flamingo. There are other things that this book brings up, like using the shoestring as a tool. How to behave when someone gives you a present you don't really like.Molly Idle has something going on with Flora. I can't help but like her.

Very warm book about friendship. With a lesson how to appreciate little attentions, even if they seem so uninteresting and unimportant to us - they can mean so much to those who gave them to us and that is what makes also us important!

This is a beautifully, illustrated, wordless book. Great for telling your own story about kindness and friendship to small children.

My grandson loves to imagine stories and this book was perfect for him, it comes just with picture, so he can change stories everytime he opens it. Loves it.

Flora and the Penguin is a stunning wordless picture book by Molly Idle. Essentially the sequel to Flora and the Flamingo, Flora and the Penguin finds our delightful young heroine in a winter wonderland, where she encounters an equally delightful penguin. They proceed to skate through the pages, twirling, playing, and charming the reader. Much like the previous Flora book, Flora and the Penguin features gorgeous illustrations (including flaps to lift), and an amusing, easy-to-tell story. If you are new to wordless picture books, the Flora books are a perfect place to start. Highly recommended!

Éste es de esos libros muy bonitos que no sabes si realmente son para niños, o más bien para adultos. La historia es sencilla, y es fácil contársela a un niño (si el niño es suficientemente maduro, quizá pueda contarla él mismo, pero con tres años no es mi caso). El acabado es precioso, los dibujos simples pero muy bonitos, y tiene pequeños desplegables que, sin ser muy sofisticados, le dan un toque divertido y especial al libro.

Bella espressività dei personaggi, interattivo in alcune parti, bello da morire! Divertente, dinamico, emozioni profonde che possono essere superficialmente dai bimbi del nido, ma interessanti fino anche ai 7 anni secondo me!
