Good game, BUT after finding out that it has ...
Good game, BUT after finding out that it has been published since 2006 I am very disappointed that the manufacturer has not bothered to fix the Lights on the EMUs, There are 2 top lamps that seem to work ok yet the high and low beams do not. Turning on the low beam gets ONE low beam on the left and the top lamps, the high beam gets the top lamps and the right side high beam and also the right side low beam. Also no AI lights on computer run trains Very careless and makes what could be an enjoyable activity less than it could be.

Very good
First come the bad bits: London South Coast does have a few flaws here and there but it doesn't spoil the add-on much. Firstly there are a few trees in the forefoot, especially just south of Purley, where they cover up part of the northbound fast line.Clapham Junction station seems empty, which is stupid, because it is in real life one of the busiest train stations in the country. There are not enough activities from London through to Portsmouth (only 2) and a few activities with trains dividing (like in the old Brighton to Portsmouth add-on) would have been nice, but that's the bad stuff gone.Overall, I think this is a great add-on for the legendary MSTS. Gatwick Airport station is very realistic, with the aeroplanes landing and standing at their gates which you did not get in the old London to Brighton. The new Arun Valley line is absolutely fantastic, with Horsham station being very detailed. Also, unlike the old London to Brighton and Brighton to Portsmouth add-ons there are no errors, which makes a run on LSC very smooth indeed.I love the rolling stock, which includes trains from the slam door class 421s all the way through to the modern Class 377s. The trains are very realistic, for example the Class 171 Turbostar sounds exactly like the real thing. They have even managed to create a realistic approach control system that leads up to many of the diverging routes, such as to Cosham and at the Ford triangle.Overall I think this is among the best MSTS add-ons that I have bought, it is a must have for any lover of MSTS. Highly recommended.

London City South Coast
Very rarely can I get this game to run. I am so frustrated with the whole thing. I have had many other add-on PC-CDs and they all work fine.

London City South Coast Sim add on
from AllenI bought this sim add on, expecting much more, however the biggest problen I found apart from geographical inaccuracies was the sound being totally out of sync with the action, especially so on passing traffic, previous sims were fine.

Disappointing
Given the excellence of their East Coast simulators, one might have expected a similar standard of work in this. Alas, it is hard to believe that LCSC has come from the same stable since any correlation between the simulator and the real thing is accidental. A list of deficiencies would take all day to compile but the worst is the absence of many prominent speed restrictions. The severely restricted curve for the Arun Vallet at Three Bridges can, according to LCSC be taken at 90 mph as can the junction between the relief and main lines at Copyhold. (There are many similar deficiencies). As for the number of trees in the four foot.............Written by amateurs.

Very Realistic
I've been on most of the LSC routes many times and was stunned at how well represented all the towns and stations are. Most of the time I'm happy to put up with some element of compromise in train simulators but the South Coast add on cuts no corners. It does need a decent graphics card to run at best quality. The trains are varied enough to keep the challenge element alive - and who wouldn't want to drive the Voyager? Ten out of ten.

Train sim
I brought this thinking it would run fine and be a bit of fun. It don't, i can't get it to load,it loads all the files etc but it won't run/play. I just had a look at the rating on here and have now noticed other users saying the same thing. I can't find anything to say if it should run on windows 7,really disappointed. I would just like to say it was delivered really quick.
