Bung, Cap and Base for Aluminum Valve Cover (Polished Aluminum)

This item isn't easily welded on, but IS bolted on and well machined for that purpose. The quality in workmanship of the items is decent, but there were differences between the two i received. All in all if you are looking for an inexpensive filler cap to bolt on, this is easy. If you chose to weld it on, pass it up. Due to the machined screw holes you won't be able to easily weld them on and fill the holes without distorting the internal threads for the cap itself. #6 hex head screws fit perfectly in the recessed holes.

This item is very well made but just isn't working out very well for my application. Plus no hardware or gasket is included with product. I would not recommend this product.

I needed an oil-fill opening on my cast aluminum valve cover. This was perfect. I used a hole saw to cut the opening and mounted this bung from the underside with 6-32 stainless screws and J-B Weld epoxy. Looks and works great.

Great value! I used this as an oil fill on an LS project. With decorative coil covers, the valve cover oil fill is almost impossible to access. This solves the the problem nicely. The flange is drilled and countersunk for #6 screws.

I put a new set of welded aluminum valve covers on my '34 Ford. This made a great addition by giving me a screw off oil filler cap.Good quality finish and a nice knurled cap with O ring seal.Mounted with stainless hardware and nylock nuts purchased elsewhere (so I don't have loose hardware floating around in my engine), and clear high temp RTV to seal.Works great, looks great, RecommendedRecommended...

I welded this part to the valve cover even though it was designed to be bolted on with flat head machine screws. works great

Mounted to a cast aluminum valve cover on my CJ7. Works great and doesn’t seep oil like the rubber stopper did. Good product.
