HawkwellKids Outdoor Hiking Shoe(Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid)

Could not stomach the cost of Merrells for a three year old and six year old who outgrow shoes so very quickly, so we bought these and they were just as good! We took them creek walking with the goal of staying on the rocks and of course, that didn’t exactly happen, but the shoes did keep their feet dry! They also both say their shoes are comfortable and choose them over other pairs. They’re true to size, too. Super happy with these shoes.

These shoes fit my son well and he says they are comfortable. So far, they are waterproof. He has been able to walk through wet grass and small puddles and his shoes have gotten wet, but his socks have stayed dry. The only reason I'm giving these a 4 instead of a 5 is that they don't allow for the feet to breathe. My son's feet stink pretty badly after being in them for the day. I have sprayed the shoes several times to help with the odor, but it's pretty bad. Maybe this is the tradeoff for waterproof shoes? Overall though, I'm happy with the purchase.

My original review was 2 stars.I will update it to 3 stars because the seller did reach out to me to try to correct the problem. They were easy to communicate with.*These shoes are comparable to Merrell kids shoes. However, these shoes split along the toe where the shoe meets the sole. We missed the return window so we super glued the shoe back together.The shoes lasted 34 days!

These seem to be well made rivaling the Merrells we bought for 2x the price! Sizing is maybe a tad on the big side. Would recommend!

The velcro on the shoes became loose binding within a month of wearing the shoes. We tried to be very gentle with the velcro but at 3 months old it has completely failed. Without the the velcro, the shoes are unwearable. Otherwise the shoes seem to be of good quality and my kid really liked them. Maybe I can get some velcro and do some creative sewing.Edit: The manufacturer quickly contacted me and offered to replace the shoes. They apologized, showing that they stand behind their product. Great customer service on Hawkwell's part.

Good shoe but strap velcro does not hold up and will not stay strapped anymore so it's pretty much useless now. Disappointed.

Uodate #2: April 2022: The replacement shoes are holding up well.Update: The seller reached out to me to offer to replace the shoes even though we were outside of the return window. We have received them. I will come back to update again once we know if they will hold up (with additional pictures). I really appreciate Hawkwell standing by their product. What really impressed me was they did this replacement and at NO TIME did they ask me to alter or take down this review. This update is 100% my choice and appreciation. I updated to 4 stars since they are standing by their product.Original review: The shoes are not very durable. This is the second pair we've had break. Two different children with two different size/color and both broke with normal usage in 4-5 weeks.

My son love them. Unfortunately the wrong size was sent. He'll likely outgrow them before he wears them out. They are true to size.

My kid went on a field trip and came back with the shoes all soaking wet. Very disappointed. It was the main reason why I bought them to keep my kids feet dry.
