I love the Singtrix wireless mikes. I bought two as well. I have notice that these wireless microphones tend to eat like candy and when the plug-in receiver\transmitters signal starts to get weak the quality if the sounds produced starts to rapidly fade in and out and distort terribly. Now, there are instructions that come with the mikes that states if you turn them and the main Singtrix unit media station beyond the recommend maximum volume limits it will overdrive the microphones and your output speakers as well... I know that is true because I've done this a time or two and the sound was really noisy and badly distorted. So, there's a sweet spot for the volume of these microphones and the sound output from the main Singtrix media unit. You just have to experiment with this system to fine tune its output to your voice or music instruments your using and once you have your ideal volume inputs/outputs set for the maximum volume without outputs without any distortion, mark your system settings with a grease pencil for easy recall use from that point on or write down these ideal setting marks, or better yet take a picture on your phone of these system settings so the next time you use the Singtrix system it will be easy to set it up for your optimum performance output volume levels. Yes it works just fine, receiver plugs into the singtrix box where you plug a wired microphone
