Q: Has anyone used these on flights? I need to know if they will work

They work but they don’t get very loud, and the earpieces can move around in the headband making it hard to get the sound next to the child’s ears.

Q: Can you replace the headphones with the adult non limited ones? Volume limited options are not loud enough for on planes, but I love the headband idea

The speakers didn't work on the ones we got. I replaced them.

Q: will they plug into a phone with the case on?

My daughter has a protective case and has no problem plugging the cord into the iPad. It should be the same with a phone, provided there is an opening over the earphone port.
