A Fun cute shoujo ninja story you'll love!
When I picked up the first couple of volumes I wasn't really expecting much to me, and it looked liked any other typical shojo manga. But the great thing is, it's not!It was so super cute I absolutely loved it!!Usagi is this hopeless ninja clan who's been sent to marry and bear Hanzo a child. The thing is, Hanzo just doesn't wan to get married. As soon as Usagi sees him she falls head over heels for him but he seems unattainable. They are two complete opposites from one another.Hanzo is an Elite ninja and she's a lazy clutz who can't even qualify to be a ninja. So what's become of this. Well Hanzo has agreed to let Usagi live in his house and train to qualify as a ninja within the year. If she fails she'll be sent back to her village. But a alot of things get in the way for her to be able to acheive this. Such as her not being very good, and her ex fiance, Geomon who wants to marry her but she doesn't, and the villige people keep bothering her to make them medicine since she is a good herbalistEveryones character and relationship begins to grow and it becomes a very good and cute ninja love adventure story that is very different.I just love it!! Its a great in it's own way and you will just have to read this manga to see what I'm talking about, so get it and you won't regret it!

A Hidden Treasure
This is one of my absolute favorite manga and one I feel deserves much more attention than it has received. It has made me laugh and cry. And the Hanzos aren't bad to look at either, heh heh heh. I can also vouch for the translation. I've read this series in the original Japanese and it has been translated very well.

Wonderful series! Determination to succeed against all odds!
This is one of my favorite shojo manga series ever! It does, however have a slow start in this first volume but the others more than make up for it. Once you get started, the story really gets moving nicely. Usagi (also referred to as Usa) is the main character who at first almost annoyed me but soon became a fantastic character. And the other characters, too, are memorable. 15 total volumes plus a prequel.Usagi goes to marry Hanzo (a ninja and head of the Hattori clan) but is initially pushed away by him. But our heroine is persist and and won't give up on her grandfathers order to marry and bear his children. Usagi grew up to be a ninja but she seems to be physically inept. Her skill in medicine however is remarkable. Her charm and spirit even more so. Her constant companion is young Mamezo. He is much like a foster child to her. Yet he also does his best to protect her. There is also Yuri who is Usagi's competition for Hanzo's heart, Hanzou who is a playboy-type figure with girls and other great friends who will join. The story takes place during the Tensho era of Japan. I highly recommend this to any shojo manga fan. Its an endearing tale, and one I wish was also an anime but alas that wish is so far denied. So join Usagi on her training to be a ninja and a great bride for Hanzo. Romance, action and determination!

The start of a Ninja Romantic Comedy
Rinko Ueda's Ninja Romantic comedy starts with the mission of ninja trainee, Usagi to bear the child of the clan head Hattori Hanzo. Why this mission, well Usagi's grandfather has given up on Usagi ever making it to full fledged ninja because of her clumsiness so bearing a child for the clan head will be the only thing she can do. Hanzo, meanwhile will never marry since his ideal woman Princess Sara is already taken by his cousin Hanzou so he wants to remain alone. Usagi is set for failure, but is she? She charms Hanzo and his clan with her cheerfulness and kindness. Things are still unsure for the pair since they both have rivals that show up; Usagi's former fiancée and another candidate for Hanzo's Bride.Ueda's storyline and drawing style are crisp and clean, the humor developing into a funny comedy of errors starting with the characters mistaken impressions of each other. I really like the character Mamezo, who is Usagi's retainer, he's adorable. Ueda also places random trivia in the front of her chapters, I don't know if they are random or she just likes trivia so I'll wait to see where those lead. All in all a fun read.
