Every Day for Every Man: 365 Readings for Those Engaged in the Battle

I've had this book about a week. LOVE IT!! This is part of my morning (or evening) prayer time. The excerpts are from the "Everyman Series" of which I have two of those books, bought back to back. "Everymans Battle" and "Everymans Callenge" Too many Christian books focus on topics that really arent geared for men SERIOUS about battling sexual temptation, the Everyman series is. In my Christian walk the temptation of women is THE challenge to get past. Lets admit guys, women are why we do what we do, for the good and sadly sometimes the bad. It's the battle against the temptations that we need to armor up against. Everyday for everyman is a great tool. Filled with excerpts from the series, and accompanied with scripture it will help to refocus your resolve on a daily basis. My recommendation is to make this a morning book. Slowly read the daily devotional with your morning coffee. This way the thought goes out with you during your day. Todays reading for example was about women that try to change their guys. Normally this is for the better, and it advises if shes telling you something, it means she sees it and shes trying to help you. It advises that you listen. If you're open minded and able to "handle" directives like this you should look at the entire series. It really helps those guys that are ready to break through their own barriers to living a rock solid Christ centered life. I loved the cover on this book too, a soft imitation leather that works with my needs. Paper back doesnt have the longevity, and hardcover really isnt for me either. If this is a big deal to you too, you'll probably like it like I do. Easily fits into a briefcase or tool bag. Whatever you take into your day. If you like to get your bibles etc embossed with your name this cover should handle that imprint well. All in all a great little devotional. Id recommend you group this with the Everymans Bible by Tydale Publising. Its an NLT translation this works well as a life application bible and is the bible that will be with me for life.

My husband bought this as a gift for my brother-in-law because he (my husband) really loves this book so much. It is one of those short readings, one a day type of books. However, it is solid it its teaching. It utilizes scripture which is very important to my husband. He reads his one page every morning even if he doesn't have time for his full devotion. He has really appreciated many of the topics/scripture and has found this to be a cut above all the other one a day devotionals he has found before for men. It is not a substitute for time in the Word as it is just one small page and is not a deep theological study by any means. However, he has read through this book more than once and would recommend it to any guy (not just young men either, it is appropriate for any age).

This book is great for any man. It’s easy to read and understand. The messages are powerful and allows the reader the opportunity to reflect.

Good book

Have given these to male family and friends! The leather cover is a handsome look and the varied subjects and authors make it a quick daily read. I think men and women can read it and learn.

Very imforative reading for all men single or married black or white. A great quide of the conserques of adultry or sexualy imoral unfaithful to your wife/girlfriend because lust desires which most men/and women suffer from {if you are honest to yourself} this book is directly at man. to seek understanding of God Almighty high moral standand reguarding adultry which God frowns on in this world we are bombarded with media t.v. images of scantily clad women selling fast cars drinks ect the book contains a daily wisdom of every monuth conclueding on the 12 mounth. highly recomemened.

This book is a devotional format, one-page per day book. I am pleasantly surprised at the originality and the helpfulness of this little book. EVERY married man who loves God should have this book, even if they have it to give away to their son or best friend as a gift.

This is a great devotional for men who are seeking a way to overcome all the pent up sexual desires and be closer to their wives and God. A bit redundant at times, but still a good stimulant for your spiritual thinking. As others have poster, it is made up of excerpts from the other books of this series.

This book makes a great gift .Bought one for each of my sons. Helped and encouraged by the 'Every man books ', myself.

Good daily devotional for husbands

This book hits home for the man that is struggling in todays society. It is a strong tool to keep us men on the straight and narrow! Very inspiring! I absolutly LOVE it and recommend this read to any man who wants to be better and succeed in this life!
