Let me start with the packaging. It came in a tin box resembling a film reel! How nice! I opened it to find a 352 page meticulously crafted tome on Cinema. It covers Hollywood and World Cinema, all genres, recommended list of best movies, best directors and their body of works. In a nutshell, this Book produced lavishly on good quality paper is a film afficcanado's delight!

If you are a movie buff you well sell yourself for this book. Hours of enjoyment when you recollect the movies you have seen. Invariably you will make a list of movies to be seen..Beautifully bound and Packed in a wonderfully designed box becomes a wonderful gift item to your friends.

Very beautifully structured and detailed . The best part the book has given right importance to Directors by allotting them a section . A must read .

Great book. great packaging. great service. If one is looking for a quick reference to films...this is the book. But if one wants more in-depth and encyclopedic information this may not whet the appetite.

A good book which covers the basics, as usual from DK. There are top ten films, as well as a look at directors and the film making process. The writing is a bit one sided and authoritive, but it's not an academic book, so the style is going to be subjective I suppose. I loved the tin, it's a nice touch, and makes it look good on the bookshelf. It'd also make it a nice gift for someone.

Excellent intro reference book or coffee table gift book for amateur film buffs - it's well written and interesting to dip in and out of. As mentioned, the metal film reel tin is most pleasing!

Well bound, great print and photos in an easy to read hardback reference book. Loads of facts not generally known, which makes it a very interesting read. Worth the discounted price.
