It is stronger than it looks, the dogs play tug of war with it, it has a squeak, the dogs love it.Update, one year later and it is still in one piece, the squeak still works

I bought this throwing toy as a present for a retriever puppy so my hope is that the carrying instinct is foremost in it's nature. It is made of strong canvas with orange nylon binding, not leather as advertised, hence my 4 stars. The durability I may never know seeing it is a gift. The seams look well put together but I can't tell how much fabric is inside the stitching or how firmly the 'tail' rope has been fixed to the body. I will point out to the owner that it isn't recommended to be used for a puppy under 36 weeks - I only discovered that when I received it today. Delivery was right on time. Because of Covid it was a while before 'puppy' received her gift and she loves it! She found out how to make it quack in no time at all. Owner impressed.

Dog loves it - he’s ragged it for several weeks and there is no sign of damage at all.

Literally lasted 5 minutes. Certainly not durable in any sense of the word. Unless you are buying this for a cat, avoid. Very disappointed

Material really strong and durable but within an hours worth of play the head was off and dog had stuffing and squeaker out.. more robust stitching might have prevented this from happening

The colour variation I received had orange tail and edging to the wings. I think the last one we had had crackly wings but this one doesn't. This and the last one had a squeeker in.My puppy was very pleased to play with it - he loves orange - already selected as a favourite, even though I only opened this one today.4* cos I don't know how durable this variation will be yet - and because delivery 2 d slower than advertised. I didn't mind too much but you might..Both my puppies have loved it. For us, in the first toy, eventually the tail was pulled out, but it was really well loved.Just to note that the tag says not for puppies under 36 weeks or dogs that chew.
