These Escoda Perla brushes are wonderful, and used by many well known watercolor artists. Great points and good for more detailed areas. The pricepoint for 3 very usable sizes (8, 10, 12), with the 10 being a travel brush, was great! Love Escoda!

Joseph Zbukvic is one of my favorite watercolor artists so I wanted to get this set because he recommended it. Love it. The mop is great for big washes and the rounds are great for detail.

Very well packed, nice feeling when using it, excellent brushes for watercolor paintings

These brushes look and feel amazing. Though, I have not yet tested them out. I made the purchase after watching Joseph Zbukvic on "Put Some Colour in Your Life" and he talked about the brushes he used for 18+ years. Amazon had these listed at $55, however, I saw a Used - Like New listing by Amazon Warehouse for $24, and only one in stock. How could I not instantly buy them at that price? They arrived and were brand new. No damage, not used, and were still in their casing. How lucky am I? Great deal. I love the travel brush the most. It is able to pull apart and the bottom of the brush goes over the top of the brush to create a casing around the brush. I definitely am going to look for more the travel brushes.

UPDATE: Manufacturer reached out and replaced the two worse offenders of fraying. Thank you! They seem to keep their point better, though haven’t used a lot yet. Looking forward to using them more.Have not used much, yet….Terrible fraying now, despite drying properly and reshaping and myself being an intermediate painter with a variety of natural and synthetic brushes. Really can’t use them now. Were not cheap and am sure Mr. Zbukvic wouldn’t like to put his name on these. (I went to a demo of his, so thought they would be good but not make me awesome, of course.) Disappointed. Wish I could return.

I know that paint brushes are a personal preference, but I have to say that I have tried a lot in the last 4 years I have been painting expensive and inexpensive and this at the current moment is my absolute favorite set of brushes. They hold a ton of water, they come to a very fine point, the handle is very comfortable.

The brush quality is amazing for watercolor work. The size 10 travel brush has become my go-to brush of choice for everything! This set is great for people just starting out and who want to invest in quality. For more experienced painters, this might just turn you into a brush snob! Give them a try.
