Quality that works!
Received my banks gravity feeder and I’m very pleased with it. Easy assembly and quick installation such a simple but effective designI like the way the lid is completely removable for easy filling and seems to be made very sturdy and durable. Don’t have to waist feed on the ground. Saves money and is healthy for the deer herd.Very sturdy install on the single 4’x4’ treated post I cemented mine for stability feeder slides right down onto it. Very pleased with the resultThanks

Pricey but good
This is the first gravity feeder that I’ve used. I do like the construction and the ease of installation. My only gripe is that the deer can access the feed 24 hours a day and end up, emptying the feeder out rather quickly my feeder tends to last a little less than a month, the deer seem to like it and visited regularly. I was hoping that because of the construction and design direct raccoons wouldn’t get into it very easily, but they are finding a way to get the rascally selves up there.

Great feeder with some suggestions!
My first gravity feeder and I am well pleased. I filled it and put it out on 7.26.24 and had my first deer on camera that was actually eating from the tube on 8.31.24. It could have happened sooner because they were definitely interested but no actual picture till 8.31.24.My first 150lbs lasted until 9.8.24. In the first couple of weeks I was dragging corn out of the tubes to get the deer closer. I set the initial tube height at 43". The coons and squirrels were unable to reach it and the vinyl sleeve on the 4x4 worked great. The larger deer can easily feed, but I was concerned the smaller deer weren't tall enough. I lowered the feeder to 39.5 inches this morning...and to keep the coons and squirrels out I trenched around the bottom and increased that distance to 44". The deer stand about 2' feet away so they are at ground level, but the other varmints are still at a disadvantage. One change I made; The upper corners of the feeder are exposed to gnawing teeth should varmints get on top (none did, but I have ninja varmints) and the lid wasn't as secure and watertight as I think it could have been, see #6 pic (even though it hasn't leaked)...so I made a steel protector out of old bed rails that fully protect the lid and just slide into place with no connections necessary. The latches are not up to the quality that I was hoping for this priced feeder, but other than that I am well pleased.I will update as necessary on the height modifications. All in all...I am very pleased with this purchase.

Very pleased with this purchase!
The only thing I would have done differently is ordered directly from Sportsman's Guide and saved myself the tax on this product. I've ordered directly from them several times before, but didn't even realize when ordering this from Amazon that it was coming from there. My mistake. Regarding the product, it's awesome and we've been watching deer eat from this feeder for about a month now. Mounts on a 4X4 post, and is gravity fed. Instructions that came with product are easy to follow and tell you exactly how long of a post you need and how deep of a hole you should dig to get the feeder at the ideal height for deer. We read other reviews where people had put tackstrips, etc., on the post to keep the squirrels, raccoons, and other knawing varmints away, so we implemented that technique ourselves right off the bat. Heavy duty plastic, well-made, and no moving parts or batteries to worry with.

Feed deer and not the pigs!!!
In the past before I purchased this feeder I had tried broadcast feeders which the deer did not like. So after that experiment I just started pouring corn on the ground which was working great until the wild hog numbers began to increase in my area. At that point I was going through 50 pounds of corn a night due to the pigs and sometimes the deer wouldn’t get any. I purchased this feeder and setup was simple and easy. If you have a area that has hogs I would make sure that you secure your pole with sack creat or deeper than recommend due to the hogs rubbing on the pole trying to knock corn out. Only took the deer a week to start eating out of it and they love it! Corn usage went from 50 pounds a night to 10 pounds a day and best of all I’m not feeding the pigs!!!
