Matrix Fitness E-50 Elliptical Frame + Xir Console

The Console is a very cheap android that is so slow it's painful. It crashes constantly, it won't stay connected to WiFi, and just flat DOES NOT WORK. The apps on it are a joke. (too many issues to list here).I tried to reach out to Matrix, but never could get in touch with them, and they never replied to any of my correspondence.The unit was replaced by a local shop who were able to get hold of a replacement unit. It's exactly as bad.I wrote a review on their website. They have to 'Approve' the reviews, and this never showed up, but a 5 star review showed up the next day (that seemed a bit fake).This is really a joke. We spent a lot of money on this thing, and it is useless.

Ok, yes, its got some issues with the WIFI, so use your IPAD!, the machine is ment to work out, if you want to shop on line, this is not the unit. Inter-active works great, resitiance and levels challange you. I can easily compare this to the gym, which since COVID I no longer go. Thats why me and the wife, spent this kind of money, so we would not have a piece of junk sitting around. We have been avid elliptical users for years, and we can get a burn and as sweat easily in 30 minutes. The functionallity again has some quirks but so does the ones at the gym that were broke half the time. No matter, we use it 3-4 times a week each, and were very satisfied. I recommend getting the 5 year warranty if you plan to use it like we do. You never know.

These machines have been installed at the UCSF (a medical school) fitness center. I really miss the Precor machines as these Matrix machines are very unreliable. The software often locks up in mid workout. The closed captioning on the TV system works for about a minute and then craps out - ADA violation anyone? Random resets are the norm. Icons on the home screen randomly rearrange themselves. Overall a shoddy experience.

It does everything I ask of it, have used it daily for a year now. I am a large athletic male 270 plus lbs and so many HIIT workouts on this and it has never failed me, ever. Highly recommended
