Matrix Fitness TF50 Treadmill with Xir Console

I'll start off with the good. The treadmill itself is great. It's quiet; smooth; and responds well. I love to use it. Now for the disappointing. The premium display leaves a lot to be desired. For the exuberant cost, it should be smooth and responsive like the treadmill. I find this not to be the case though. It has issues with Google on the web browser. Google says that the browser needs updating but my update did nothing for the browser. Hulu doesn't even load (error 39) neither does youtube. Full-screen option on apps goes away and you must cycle through all the apps until you find one that has the full-screen icon select full screen then close the app. It will be available again for a few uses until it glitches and you go through it all over again. But my biggest disappointment is having to start a workout then pause it to use the media apps I would rather pick a movie, video, etc, pause that and then select and start my workout. There should be a media play button on the sidebar to then start playback of the media. Not being able to save manual workouts and then log the results is a pain as well. I like to set up various manual workouts that may differ and being able to save my own personal local workouts would be a plus as would having the machine keep a history or log. I realize that the machine has special apps that you can use but they seem to require me to be connected to an online app. I prefer local control. Plus I have yet to find a way to use these tracking apps alongside the virtual app and the media apps. I run outside when I really push myself but when the weather is poor or I need to take a break I use the treadmill. After running outside the treadmill is almost boring hence the need for the distracting apps. If the U I was better this treadmill would be a 5 star. You could save a lot of money and headache by ordering it with the standard low budget display.

The treadmill is good and sturdy. If you want to spend this kind of money on a treadmill, I highly recommend NOT GETTING the premium console. The console is the worst piece of junk out there. Get it with the cheapest console you can find and throw an iPad or something over it.

It takes the interface several seconds at least to respond to each interaction. It seems like they developed and tested this on a faster ARM-based processor than the one they actually shipped these with, perhaps to save money. The interface itself is also difficult to understand and use. The screen is bright, colorful, and beautiful, but the software behind it is terrible.
