I've had my previous pair of Berghaus hiking boots for 7 years , they started to rip and let water in so decided to go fir another new pair. Best decision , these are a bit on narrow side, I'm usually a size 5 but I ordered a 5.5 and fits perfect . Sooo light and comfy.Been waking the dog a few times a day in rain and cold weather , and my feet have stayed warm and dry.Love them , highly recommended and decent price too

Slightly annoyed someone in the comments has put a one star and just assumed they aren’t waterproof having not been out in the rain? 😂 Having gone up to Scotland in the highlands in 100% rain for 10 hours, I can tell you these boots are waterproof. They do take a while to wear into, at first they didn’t feel that sturdy as they were new but I can assure you I have not slipped down a mountain yet so the grip is very good! They are also comfortable to wear for long hours. I had some karrimor boots before this and noticed they weren’t that comfortable for long periods of time but these ones are great!

These boots are comfortable, waterproof and lightweight but not long-lasting at all! I bought them last year and have now thrown them out as the stitching came undone and they were allowing water in. Not good when you live in Wales and need to walk two dogs daily. Lasted less than a year, and for that price I expected them to last at least 2 winters not just one. Overall, not good value for money.

The leather (rather than material) covering your toes makes the boot more robust.
