Just what I needed for making wad poppers.

One of 2 brass rods was difficult to machine. A 3/8" drill bit seized while drilling into it. After extracting the bit with great difficulty, a new one (Milwaukee cobalt X15), performed only somewhat better. Using cutting oil actually seemed to make it worse. This is the first time I've had any trouble with this company's brass. I do a lot of brass work and have ordered many pieces from them. Perhaps this one was a fluke.

If you need tight tolerances, then take note that the bar I received is 12.5mm in diameter with pretty close tolerances, but it is NOT 0.50", more like 0.49" which for most people might be fine, and in fact, for me it's fine, but, if you are looking for a tight fit 0.50 inch, then this bar might not be for you. The description of 12.5 mm / 1/2" should be the giveaway - I was hoping for it being 0.50-inch corresponding to 12.7mm, but it is really 12.5 mm corresponding to 0.49 inches.
