Dojo and Iku are irresistible
I'm still waiting for the ***... And we're still waiting.I laughed so hard when I was reading about Iku's great idea. I mean, Dojo and her... they're irresistible. But I still prefer Tezuka. I don't understand one thing, though: Tezuka has a thing for Iku or not? Why is he so devastated when he found out about Iku and Dojo?OK, only two volumes left. I'm kind of sad about that, even if there's a part of me who's really looking forward to the ending. I mean, I've started this series eons ago...

I love this series
I love this series! This volume brings back the excitement of the "War" part of the title and a lot of the plot centres around the author they have been protecting. I like that as it's one of the reasons I got into the series in the first place. Dojo and Kasahara don't get any closer in this volume frustratingly enough. Kasahara spends her time agonizing over what he will say when she comes right out and tells him she likes him. So no kiss, but there is an amazing scene where she punches him in the face! LOL! Loved the volume. Now onto #14.

Hand Holding and Ring Giving...
This is another beautiful installment to Hiro Arikawa/Kirro Yumi's series. Most of the book focuses on resolving the issue that started in the last volume with the author Kurato Toma, and ultimately does an amazing job of growth for the plot as a whole. If you've been following the series, you'll be happy to know that Chief Genda is back and out of the hospital at last. There's also a nice little part at the very beginning where it's revealed that Shindo, the sniper who was shot in volume 11, is back in action as well. And for anyone missing Commander Inamine, you're in for a small treat. That said, this is a calmer volume, and there isn't a whole lot of battling or suspense except for a few minor little things, but that's more than okay. Because this series is so active, its hasn't been able to address the full magnitude of emotions that are swirling around except for here and there, along with the sheer bulk of physical affections, but in this volume it finally does. This installment's side stories center around the 3 emerging couples in the series, which you probably know if you've been reading, but of course Dojo and Kasahara get the most attention. ;)Unlike previous volumes where Dojo always seemed to be saving Kasahara from something--falling down a flight of stairs, a scolding cup of hot coffee being hurled at her, live ammo, guys with knives, peeping toms, etc.--there is actually none of that in this book. I'm almost certain that I can say, Dojo doesn't save her from a single thing in this volume. Instead, for the first time it shines a light on their relationship as is... And for the first time, as equals. There's a nice moment between them involving a storage container somewhere near the middle of the book. You'll know it when you see it. Kasahara is finally starting to become a real adult, it would seem. There's even a moment in a task force meeting where she says something so profound that stuns not only Dojo, but many others. The main story ends on a rather sinister intent, promised for the next book, but it's countered quite nicely by another bonus manga, revealing Tezuka's misgivings about Iku and Dojo, and the sweet beginnings of Iku's 2nd Valentines Day. The next volume promises to be just as good if not better. We'll have to wait until October 6th to find out.
