Max and Neo Reflective Nylon Dog Leash - We Donate a Leash to a Dog Rescue for Every Leash Sold (Purple, 4x1)

After seeing only 2% negative reviews, I felt fairly confident in making this purchase with the bonus feel-good of helping a worthy cause. And I was not disappointed! 100% as advertised and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the additional D-ring at the handle (great for poop bags). I have a nearly 100 lb yellow Lab mix (suspected part pit bull) who has, admittedly, mellowed as he approaches his senior years. But he will still challenge a leash if he encounters another person or canine with whom he absolutely MUST befriend - obnoxiously friendly is my beast and the only upside to the physical challenges of his years is that he can no longer jump upon his new friends (strangers who might not appreciate experiencing what it might feel like to be tackled by a linebacker). But I digress. My point is, those who claim poor quality workmanship must have gotten a defective leash. I’m sure the company would readily replace it (right?).As for the other complaints in the negative reviews: “it’s not reflective at all”... I don’t know what they were expecting, glow-in-the-dark? Mine does not, in fact, glow in the dark. But when I walk my dog at night I wear a headlamp and when I look over at my pooch, the stitching on the leash shine right back at me.Another bad review which compliments the padded handle but complains that the leash itself has sharp edges that tore their hands attempting to control their dog. Personally, I have had to grab the lead a time or two in order to prevent a possible dog fight (or possible stranger molestation lol) without any issues of cutting into my hands. The review DID say that it’s “probably a good leash for a well-behaved dog.” Um, what? You’re effecting a company’s reputation based on the fact that you have difficulty controlling your dog? That’s not their fault, it’s yours. There are leashes you can buy with two handles, there are thick rope types, there’s dog training schools, there’s any number of options that don’t boil down to admitting that you can’t control your animal without blaming the leash manufacturers. Which leads me to the majority of the remaining complaints, “my puppy chewed through it.” Again, how is this the manufacturer’s fault? Are they complaining to their slipper company, too? I swear some people shouldn’t be allowed to have pets ....

Love this company not only do they have an outstanding give back to the cause! But their products are excellent. Great prices, strong materials but what we loved most... The reflective collar and leashes they actually glow in the dark making our pet safe and the ones who care for them as well!The pic are the reflective black collars & black leashes.

Max and Neo leashes are the best leashes I've had so far! I bought 1 that is a inch wide and one of the smaller ones. I'm surprised by how they're holding up. Both of my dogs pull and the leashes are showing no signs of wear and tear. I've been using them for 6 months now. The colors are so vibrant! Plus, I like how they have the reflective stitching on both sides, not just one, like I've seen on a lot of other poor quality leashes on Amazon. Both leashes are really thick, comfortable to hold, and have a ring on them to clip poop bags onto. These are the perfect leashes!

I usually don't write reviews, but I have been saying to myself for 2 weeks that I really need to leave a review for the Max and Neo leash and collar because they are so fabulous and I am so happy with them. I bought the blue leash and matching collar. They have a little bit of a sheen which really looks sharp and my boy looks so handsome with them on. And I absolutely love the reflective stitching too. I like a simple, sturdy leash and this one fits the bill. There is just a little bit of padding on the neoprene handle which makes it comfortable, but not too bulky. The clasp is simple and seems heavy duty and I think it will last for a long time. The simple ring attachment near the handle works great for poop bags and/or a carabiner. I love the collar just as much. It has a durable plastic buckle, then a lock for another layer of security. There is a sturdy leash ring, and a separate loop for tags to cut down on noise. Plus I love the company's philanthropic mission to donate to shelters. All of this for a very reasonable price. I'm a girl that loves the look and quality of Ruffwear, but couldn't afford Ruffwear prices on these particular purchases. But Max and Neo did not disappoint! One thing to note - I really wanted a simple, affordable harness to match, which the same reflective stitching. I wasn't thrilled with Max and Neo's harness option so I went ahead with a step-in harness from Lupine Leash in a similar color, but unfortunately no reflective stitching.

Very well made but if you have a big dog who pulls, this is not your leash. White threads in the leash are reflective, not entire leash. No problem but be aware. If your dog is a chewer, get a steel leash. Those are the caveats but I think this is a very nice leash and I use it for my 25 pounder who is well trained and it's perfect.I actually bought two of these, one for walking and the other I keep in the car for traveling around.

The teal color is somewhere between a bright teal and a turquoise, we use Ruffwear harnesses and it is a pretty close match for the meltwater teal color they have. I am really happy with this leash so far, the thickness of it is perfect and makes the leash feel very sturdy. There is a D ring below the handle for pickup bags and the material is easy on the hands with no rough edges at any of the collection points/seams. No issues with the clasp so far. The handle is soft and padded to protect your hand if the dog pulls but not so padded that it's spongey and hard to keep a grip on. I also love that it's reflective, which is an important safety feature for me since I often walk my dogs in the dark. Highly recommend, I will be ordering more colors for sure!

Soft comfortable handle, good quality clasp and buckles. Excellent length (1.5m) enabling me to alternatively let my big dogs roam a little or bring them in close. Would buy again.

Love this leash! My dog likes to pull and the second handle prevents her from doing any pulling! It’s a very strong leash with nice padding!
