Highlander Kestrel Bivi Bag - Olive

Lightweight bag, so easy to pack. We used this for a beach sleep over and found it kept us dry. In the morning we were cosy in our sleeping bags, and the outside of the Bivi was wet with dew. However, on closer inspection we found that the Bivi's were also wet on the inside, not badly, but worst at the feet, and we had to dry out all our kits on our return. Fine for one night in the dry, but I wouldn't trust them on a longer stay over or if the weather conditions were not as favorable.

Good value for money. It's 1-layer design is quite waterproof and stands up well to some punishment. It's far from breathable, but that's to be expected at this price level.

ok but its very thin nylon and could tear if you are looking at serious use? very compact though etc
