Great resource
Perfect for leading intercessions. Easy to add bits to reflect current needs. This is a replacement for old copy my church has used for years, but even when you get back to the same page after 3yrs, God makes it still relevant!

A splendid solution for a Lay person's Sunday services.
I found the book perfect for my needs. I regularly present the Intersessions on a Sunday morning at my local church. Susan Sayer's , prayers are full of optimism, common sense and realistic. I have used one of her earlier books for a few years. The book that I purchased recently, will last me a very long time. It covers three years of the church Lectionary The cover is hard wearing, the print clear and well presented. It did cost quite a lot, as any book with a low print run would but I made a good choice and am pleased.

Contemporary, appropriate.
Extremely useful - follows the Anglican Cycle of years and Lectionary. She gives useful introductory sentences for preparation for prayer and includes unique responses appropriate for the day. I used it when encouraging members of the congregation to lead intercessions and especially for those who had never done anything like it before, it lent them confidence and also enabled them to see how to use it as a "scaffolding" on which to attach local, national and international issues. She uses contemporary language and is very easy to use. Highly recommended.

Resource
This is a most useful book for those who are required to lead prayers in worship, particularly those who are new to the task. It can be quite daunting, knowing what to say and saying it in a meaningful way. This book gives guidelines for all occasions and the reader can easily adapt the prayers offered by Susan Sayers to their own specific circumstance.

A great resource
This book was bought as a parish resource to enable teams of lay people to prepare intercessions for Sunday Worship. The feed back has been very positive - people find it provides a framework from which they can launch off to personalise how they want to pray. Anyone who uses the Common Lectionary each Sunday as the basis of Sunday Worship would do well to buy this as an aid, or as a way of providing ready made templates of prayers, if pressed for time. It's not a straightjacket and can be used flexibly and creatively.

Not really what I was after, but I imagine could be very useful for anyone leading intercessions.

Five Star Worship Aid
As a licensed lay minister in the Anglican Church I frequently lead Intercessions. This book is ideal for my purposes. The Prayers are up to date and can be used in their entirety or used as a basis for your own compositions. I have no hesitation in recommending this book.
