Question 1

Is this short velvet or crushed velvet? The last blue pic looks like it's crushed, as does the green.

This is NOT crushed velvet.  It is a lovely smooth velvet!  Of course, when you receive it it is wrinkled, but the wrinkles fall out when hung.  It did not need steaming at all.

Question 2

Going to go to fleetwood mac concert and want to wear with black cape.   5'3" tall 180lbs   64 years old   would this work?   xxl?

Dress is gorgeous, but I’m afraid at a concert, with the long (slightly snug) sleeves and a cape, you could roast. I too am 64, wore mine to a formal dinner and was “flashing” all night. Looked great but was happy I also brought a fan!

Question 3

i am 5'4 162lbs 38b should i get a large?

Actually, I think this ran a bit small --- I know the length was good for me at 5 ft. 7 in. --- but I have a large waist and it just about fit in my normal size.  So really based on your body type - I tend to always get the larger when in doubt.  It's a very nice dress though - soft and elegant.

I am 5'9" 160 lbs - will the large fit?

For your size, I would probably try at least the X size, but that is your call.  Here is my experience:I am 5'5 and 200 lbs.  The XX is what I bought.  It was a hair too long but perfect with short heels. Because the material was stretchy it fit, with the tightest (just fitting, not really snug) area being the waist.  The hard part of putting it on was getting my shoulders past the waistline and into the sleeves, but once I did that successfully, and got my bosom up above the waist (which goes from just under the bosom to the waistline where the skirt attaches) it was perfect for me.  The sleeves were also just a hair long, but I like that (I think the model was in a very small dress or she was very VERY tall).  It doesn't show well in the picture, but the bodice is a cross-over style.  It crossed high enough to cover my bra, which is of medium drop in front.  For your size, I would probably try at least the X size, but that is your call.  One bonus:  this dress does not wrinkle!  I pulled it straight out of its vacuum pack, shook it out, and wore it to church on Christmas morning.  I love this dress so much that I just bought a second one in a new color.
