Honestly, I have never worn them in the rain! I think they would get wet if you stepped in a puddle, but if you were just going from car to building, I think it would be fine.

They definitely are not for point. Work well for turns.

Q: Is this a dance shoe that will work on a wood floor for Salsa practice?

I wore this dance shoe to West Coast Swing class. During a turn, I fell. I don't know for sure but suspect that the shoe caught on the laminate floor instead of sliding. The shoes are very comfortable so I use them for everyday wear but not for dancing.
