Knitter's PrideCubics Platina Double Pointed Needles Set 6", Socks Kit

Love these for sock knitting. the cubics makes them easier to hold, and stitches seem to come out more even.

I previously tried Kollage squared circular needles and the join snagged on every row so I gave up on this shape. I like my Knitters Pride wooded DPs but they're a bit slow for me so when wandering around revealed this line by KP I bought two sets for knitting two socks concurrently. Of course experience matters most but I get consistent stitching with these, so much so that there's a visible difference observed when placing socks (unblocked) knit with other DPs next to socks knit with my Cubics.Your mileage will vary, of course, but I have absolutely no buyer's remorse. These are the only needles in my knitting arsenal I don't allow my dear daughter to borrow. And, yes, I do love her.

I wanted to try these to reduce hand and wrist fatigue. They feel good in the hand and are comfortable to use with a nice point that isn't too sharp. The surface is super slick, so I wouldn't recommend them for someone new to double pointed needles. The sock yarn I was using liked to slide right out of the stitches. The set is definitely gift worthy to someone who uses small needles, but I wish the case was a bit nicer. It's a thicker clear plastic, so I'm not sure how durable it will be over time.

Great for sleeves and like the variety of sizes easily available to me.

These needles are fabulous for knitting socks. It is my second set. After about a year of using my first set, the size 0s warped a little. I have had ulnar nerve dysfunction and surgery to treat it, and these needles work well in my hands despite me having two numb fingers and muscle weakness. They are easy to hold, warm to the touch, and have the sizes etched into them. The holder did not have any odor.

They are indeed hollow, and the metal is just too thin so they bend. This was using the 2.5mm so I don't even think I can use the smaller sizes. I love the square knitting needles so I am very disappointed.

I was wondering about the cube form, but you really don't notice it. I started knitting a pair of socks when they arrived.

Comes with all the sizes I’d need for almost all my sick knitting projects. I like the smooth, slick finish; helps me knit faster, and the needles feel good to my fingers. I bought 2 sets!
