Staub Cast Iron 5-qt Pumpkin Cocotte - Burnt Orange, Made in France

This cast iron "pot" is just such a gem... it looks so festive sitting on a burner anytime during the fall and Thanksgiving season and it performs like a dream. I often use it to put pre-made stew in(warmed up) and just the heat of the stew warms the cast iron, it maintains this temp for an hour (easily)or more.. If I am taking it to function I put it on a burner (on low)and it can hang out safely for a several hours without any attention (and NO attention is no burning, no stirring)...

I've had one Cuisinart cast iron pot for years that I love using for stovetop to oven cooking. This is my first Staub piece. It's pricey, but known for its exceptional quality and durability. The 5 quart size looks big enough to accommodate a smaller roast or large chicken and certainly generous enough for any soup or casserole. This piece is a work of art -- even more gorgeous than in the pictures. This one will get a ton of compliments from your guests at the dinner table!

This was a gift it cost alot of money. It was very disappointing to see how torn up the box was . Wont be ordering gifts from Amazon anymore. I have received other items damaged it a real pain to seen them back if they will take them.

Holds a lot at 5 qts. The black interior is easy to maintain. It cleans up easily. Great heat retention for soups and stews. Beautful enameled finish. Great sale price at nearly half off.

Perfectly sized. Incredibly beautiful and functional. Love this Staub cocette. Could be used as a center piece. Finish will last for years. Enamel on cast iron has been the best choice in non-stick. Can’t say enough about it.
