Hawaii Roasters Award Winning 100% Kona Coffee, Whole Bean, Medium Roast, 7-Ounce Bags

Ok, this is my first try at splurging for this coffee. I didnt rate it based on its price, but rather the actual product itself (it is REALLY expensive). The coffee has a decent flavor, but too smoky for my taste. The beans however, did come in VERY fresh, in a cute burlap bag. The company seems to really care how they market and handle their products. I value the fact they are grown in Hawaii. Again, it was not for me.

I am not a coffee lover. However, I like to learn how to distinguish different coffee by types and quality. Based on all reviews on this product, this is a top quality coffee. However, it tastes very bitter to me, comparing to other lower coffee beans I have tried over the years. Can someone tell me that the better quality coffee the bitter taste? My next is to try the Blue Mountain to see the difference.

I bought this for my Dad on Fathers day last year since Kona is his favorite. A little pricey, but the coffee was really good. Definitely worth the money for a special occasion.

I like good espresso. Good espresso is generally made with a medium, not an overly dark, roast so that you can taste the beans rather than the char. Lavazza Super Crema and Illy Medium are good examples, as is the Coffee Bean Direct Indian Monsooned Malabar. This isn't.The roast looks fine. It grinds and brews fine. But is relatively flavorless. And undated; the inner bag (red foil) has no printing on it. No branding, no date code, nothing.

I've been buying fresh beans for a few years now and can tell when beans are getting stale and these were not roasted in the time frame as advertised, it even had the date printed on the bottom when it was roasted and it was several weeks old.I would not recommed this product.

Superb quality coffee beans. The aroma is amazing and the taste is devine. My only issue is the quantity of the bag. One bag does not last long.

Great coffee. Mild taste. No bitterness . Expensive but worth it.

I love Kona coffee but I found this one to be very disappointing. Bitter yet tasteless, with almost no aroma. Loved the cute little burlap bag though.
