Q: Why 25 pound bag is priced at 17 and 40 pounds at 40.....my math sucks or they are tricking you to think the 25 pounds is a good deal?

I don't think they are trying to trick you. At $17.00 for 25 pounds, the cost per pound is 68 cents. At $40.00 for 40 pounds, the cost per pound is $1.00. As you can see, the larger package is not always the best deal. And the 25 pound bag is certainly easier to carry into the house than the 40 pound bag. :-) I hope this helps!

Q: Can I use this for my 8 week old bunnies litter box?

If you’re looking just for a litter box, I would recommend Oxbow Animal Health Eco-Straw Litter (from Amazon also) because it’s safe if it’s ingested. You can search bunny litter pellets. There are several recycled paper pellets that would all be fine. I would not use this. Little bunnies might nibble and ingest this. I’m a licensed veterinary nurse. This could cause an intestinal obstruction. If you’re looking for bedding, Carefresh and Kaytee both make really great paper bedding that bunnies, guinea pigs, rats and all kinds of little guys love. It’s nice and soft and they love to nest and burrow. Just stay away from cedar chips all around and you’ll be fine. But this corncob litter won’t digest and I feel like even if it’s a small chance she might chew on it… bunnies do like to chew. I feel like as a veterinary professional it would negligent of me not to advise you that it COULD get stuck in intestines if she does eat it and that’s surgical intervention. Even if it’s a small chance… leave this to the bird cages. There are safer options out there for your new little bun bun. Enjoy her. Bunnies are so much fun!!!

I use a cat litter scoop. The cob pieces are about the same size as clay cat litter
