Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

My daughter loved this book! She wanted story time to go on forever.

My grandson is enjoying this tale. It was one of my favorites in college and could not resist purchasing it for him.

My 6 year old son really enjoyed the book that he finished it upon its arrival and re-read it several times after that. As an advanced reader and a boy, he enjoys adventures, war/history, stories of knights, pirates, Greek heroes and mysteries. This book is nicely printed with really good quality paper and has vivid water color pictures inside. I always read the books myself before I decide if the content is appropriate for his age. For this book, I was surprised he enjoyed it more than I did.

A great introduction to a classic literature from the middle age.

Terrific, I've just finished ready this to my seven year old daughter and she now wants the Morpurgo Beowolf, after having the Seamus Heaney Beowulf already read to her.This book is a keeper for her children, only the second to have achieved that status after Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls.

I studied the original poem in Middle English as a student many years ago now. Grandson enjoys stories about heroes so opted for this one. Michael Morpurgo has lost none of the drama of the original legend. Great

This is a beautiful book. I love the tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Not too sure of the intended age range of this particular version as it's written by a children's author and the illustrations are child orientated, but as an adult and a reader of the normal paperback version, there are 'adult' scenes.

Bought for a little friend but Michael Morpurgo is a must for all readers. Always well researched and well written.
