Good book to help gently explain the basics to our grandson of why he lives with us.No blame, just explains that everyone wants what’s best for the children. Easy for our 5 year old to understand and ask questions about.Have recommended it to other people I know in the same situation

Written in a way that young children can understand and explains questions that a young child would innocently ask given their difficult family life circumstances.

I am a social worker who works with grandparents, aunties and uncles who are caring for a child within their family. This is a great addition to the Dennis series to explain to children in an age appropriate way. Recommended

Bought this as we kinship carers, our grandchildren love this book

I was very pleased to find this book. My grandaughter is too young at the moment, but I will definitely be using the book with her when she needs to have some understanding of her situation.

This book will hopefully help with questions asked as my little one develops an understanding of his situation.

I was after a nice story for my 3 year old granddaughter whom we have guardianship. I was however really disappointed with this book. There's no warm to the story at all. It was a long winded story probably written by a social worker. I would not waste you're money. This book has gone in the bin

This book is incredibly boring and badly written with no flair or storytelling. It is basically a social services leaflet with the word 'child' replaced with 'duck'.
