What Knot? (Flexi cover series, 14)

Bought two copies of this book. Its a little hard to keep it to the right page when I am learning a knot, but its still my preferred reference tool.

Great illustrations. Thought the index was rather cool. 'French Bowline' can be found under 'Bowline' as well as 'French Bowline'. Some knots are shown tied a bit differently than I've seen before. Exactly what I wanted to see. The crafts section at the end is quite the bonus. My boss is an American hailing from China. First knot in the crafts section is a Chinese Good Luck Knot!

This is an interesting introduction to a variety of knots but seems to me (who knows nothing about knots, incidentally) to be a little superficial in its coverage. I would also have liked it if there were some explanations as to what function a particular knot is best suited for, as some are obvious but others are not. Overall an entertaining read, though.

Very easy to follow instructions and pictures are very clear and it definitely helps me practice tying knots. I like that I can do decorative knots I also can do functional knots

Great little book

I purchased this book for my husband after he saw it at another location. He seems very happy with its content and he has commented that he enjoyed the information on how each knot might be put to use.

Very clear pictures and written explanations make this a superb book for anyone interested in knot work. Despite being comprehensive it is not a heavy book so easy to have around if doing any practice knots.

Clear and precise photographs that follow accurately the descriptions given by the author. Several new knots that were never found in other knot books. Mr. Budworth and Mr. Dalton have included with each knot the legacy that it had previously sailing or mountaineering. The book also contains where the knots are used and for what reason/purpose. As always any Budworth knot book are very well done.
