PTS Diagnostics A1C Now+ Multi-Test Blood Glucose Monitor (Plus 10)

This is a great little tester. Be sure to read all the directions before actually using it and get all the materials ready ahead of time (alcohol wipes, lancets, pipettes, etc.). Timing is important to the accuracy of the results, and, with proper preparation, you are likely to succeed the first time, thus saving you money. I read other reviews where people messed up because they didn't prep correctly. When I was searching for a tester like this, I couldn't quite understand why the testing materials were not sold separately so you could just buy more supplies and use the same monitor. After using it, I realize that everything is coded, matched, and has a specific shelf life. When you need more testing supplies, you need to re-buy the monitor as well. It's not cheap to do this self-testing, but, if you consider the cost of going to drop-in clinics or even going to traveling phlebotomists at local drug stores, this saves you money in the long run. Plus, you can do it as often as you like. I plan to do it once a month.

I would say these are accurate compared to my labs from the doctor's office. It's just sometimes the test gives an error code (maybe 20% of the time) and you don't get any results. I've followed the directions and it's a random error. It's still worth it since it's much more convenient than going to the lab.

This product although it can seem like a lot of money, it really great for diabetics that want to track their A1C more often that the doctors do. My husband was having a hard time with his blood sugar and the VA finally changed things with his insulin that has helped with the numbers coming down, but he also did not want to wait 3 months to see if the new medicine was helping as he needs this under control for future surgery.The product came quickly and the expiration date is a year from when we got it. I think there are 10 tests within. The instructions are good, but read and follow them! They are not hard at all. Results are fast and based on what he has seen, he is at 7.4 which is great!If needed we would buy from this distributor again.

This guy gives me A1C results within 0.1% of the lab at the doctor's office. I like to keep my A1C low because I don't like getting yelled at. Every time I think of eating my third Snickers I think of this test kit lurking in the fridge. It works.

This product is very close to my lab tests and is great to monitor my glucose levels between office visits. I recently moved from Pre diabetes to diabetes and I'm managing my levels with exercise, diet and life change. Monitoring helps me to get to my target levels without medication.I would rated this product 5 stars but the product does not come with lancets so I have to use my own. The other brands provide lancets but this brand does not. Not a big deal to use my own lancets but for the cost of this product I would prefer the lancets be provided in the kit.I will purchase again.

I bought this as I need to reduce my A1c. The doctor had changed my medication and told me to wait 3 months before testing so I purchased this product. Today I tried to test my A1c and after following the procedure I found the actual tester battery is totally dead!! I used 2 of the sampler modules BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. THE SCREEN IS JUST BLANK. I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY THINKING I COULD TEST MY A1C AT HOME AND SAVE MONEY ON THE COSTLY CLINICAL TEST BUT INSTEAD I AM NOW OUT OF POCKET $121. THE KIT SAYS IT IS GOOD FOR 14 MONTHS IF KEPT IN FRIDGE, WHICH I DID. THIS IS A DEFINATELY A SCAM AS I HAVE HAD THE KIT FOR JUST 3 OR 4 MONTHS AND CANNOT RETURN IT FOR A REPLACEMENT OR REFUND. MY ADVICE.... PAY THE CLINICS ITS CHEAPER AND MOST PROBABLY MORE RELIABLE. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF LIKE I WAS.

I've been buying this once or twice a year for about five years. The tests always align with those from my doctor's office, so I'm happy with the product. For the first time now, though, the package can't be left at my front door; it has to be signed for or picked up at the post office, which is an issue for me since I'm always at work when the post office is open. Unfortunately I guess it will be sent back when I can't pick it up in time. I think it's a great product, though.

Great product for A1C testing. Pretty easy to follow instructions. Note this is a 10 Pack and only came with 5 months 20 days till expiration date. Kinda defeats the purpose of a large quantity pack. A1C testing is for a period of 2-3 Months avg glucose. So if you decide you are going to do the test even more frequently at say 1 month. You will not be able to use all the test as they will expire.
