Not for duty use but perfect for a bump in the night.
Didn't want to spend $$$ on a light but wanted something for my wife to have when I am not home. It is simple and the light will light up any room in a house. All home defense guns need a light system with them and holding a light can be impractical for those who do not train and sometimes for those that do. I had a SigPro and it was the only option. Only problem is twisting the light off can unscrew it from its base. Live with it or locktite it.

It feels sturdy enough with mounting
This light is lacking in power output, but for a nightstand gun to illuminate pitch black at close range, it'll get the job done.It feels sturdy enough with mounting, but the bezel twists to turn the light on and off instead of having a button at the rear. This could be dangerous if you mount it on a compact handgun where the bezel sticks out passed the muzzle of your gun. If your hand is in front of the muzzle while you're twisting the bezel of the light, you could have an accident to your hand while trying to defend yourself. All in all its a sub-par option for a gun light. But there aren't really any other choices on the market to use on a handgun or revolver with no built in rail to house a proper light. So for my revolver that has a longer barrel, it'll at least get the job done for me.

Trigger guard flashlight
This is a great little flashlight for the price. I was personally very satisfied with it. There are many gun lights out there that are far superior to this one especially where the light output is concerned (this light only has 35 lumens) but they are all rail-mounted lights. That's one of the things that so great about this one. If your gun doesn't have a rail then no problem. You can still have a light for it. It simply mounts to the trigger guard. Another thing that's really great about it is that it will fit multiple firearms. It's pretty much universal. It has multiple plastic shims with it for fitting it with different trigger guards. I don't know of any guns that this light won't mount to, even though there may be a few out there depending on the size of the trigger guard, but I have a Desert Eagle which has a pretty big trigger guard on it and the light fits it just fine just as it fits my Beretta and 1911 which have smaller trigger guards. To be able to mount a rail-mounted light to more than one gun you would have to find a gun with the exact same rail on it (the mounts on rail-mounted lights are made specifically for certain guns). So if you're looking for a trigger guard mounted flashlight then this is the one to go for. So far, from what I've seen, this is the only one of its kind on the market. I did a lot of searching for trigger guard mounted flashlights and this is the only one that showed up every time so unless somebody else comes out with another one sometime you're pretty much limited to this one but I think that it's a good quality light. The only thing that I didn't like about it at first is that you have to turn the body of the flashlight in order to turn it on and off. It doesn't have an ambidextrous push button switch but I quickly got used to it. I put it through multiple recoil tests and it performed flawlessly. Altogether a pretty good light. Not the best in the world but worth it in my opinion.

Strong, but too long.
I should have noted the dimensions before ordering, but this is a rather long flashlight. I had ordered it intending to mount it on my Karh K40, but quickly found that it sticks out way in front of the muzzle. I never fired it with it on, for fear that the recoil would throw the light in front of the muzzle, sending shrapnel my way. I removed it, only to find that the hard plastic inserts that go inside the trigger guard clamp had scratched the blue finish rather badly on my pistol. Luckily, I ordered a Birchwood Casey Presto Gun Blue Touch-Up Pen and it was easily fixed. I would still think twice about mounting it on anything that you will mind getting scratched.Next, I mounted this light to my trusty Beretta 92fs. It still goes a few cm out past the muzzle, but not so far that the recoil situation would be a concern. I still do not like it being this long, though, because it forces the gun handler to place their hand uncomfortably close to the muzzle of the firearm in order to twist the flashlight to the on position. As anyone worthy of owning a firearm should know, you never put your hand over the muzzle of a loaded gun, unless you really wish to remove a digit or two. (remember: your middle finger is not possessed by Satan. That guy cut you off without even a turn signal, and he deserved that angry salute)This light should be shortened and/or fitted with a button or switch. The twisting action is clumsy and dangerous, and when you try to turn it off, the flashlight usually begins to unscrew from the mounting base instead, forcing you to use both hands to finish the job.On a positive note, the item appears to be rather sturdy, has a pretty cool look to it, and provides a respectable amount of illumination. It won't give you that intimidating blinding blaze that most tactical weapon lights do, but it will help you to see where you're going and what you are aiming at.If your gun is a full sized handgun and is not equiped with a rail, this is probably the only affordable option. (It's the only one that I found, anyway) It's certainly not the worst product ever made, but it could be vastly improved with just a few simple design changes.

Descent since there aren't many options
I bought this for my 1911 since I didn't really want to spend $100 just for the mount for a streamlight. It's not terrible, but it's not great either. The light isn't near as bright as my $6 streamlight key chain light that is maybe 20% of the size. The mounting system is a little strange trying to figure out what size shim to put in before mounting it and it was a bit of a pain to get on. It will do the trick if needed, but I will probably end up just taking it off.

I recommend this!
This item is pretty good. I had to give it four stars because it took forever to tighten up the clamp on my 1911. But overall, it's worth every penny!

Still just fine for the little money
Even with the little wedges, alignment is an issue. Bright enough, but twist on is a little jinky. Still just fine for the little money.
