Galileo is an amazing photography and video conferencing accessory for iPhone and GoPro. How are those related? Well, Galileo has two motors that allow you to pan and tilt with a high degree of control. This makes it perfect for rotating your GoPro while taking time-lapse video and awesome for controlling an iPhone remotely during a video call. Video conferencing can be a lot better if only the remote person could actually control what the camera is pointed at. Well, with Galileo and our partner apps, you can actually control the orientation of the remote camera during a video call. You control what you see with a tap of your finger. With the Galileo SDK, lots of app developers have integrated their apps with Galileo for even more use cases. From remote monitoring to multi-camera video shoots to face tracking, the possibilities are endless!

Would've, could've, just not
Would be awesome. BUT, the devices proprietary app has to be open on your phone at all times. If you leave the app, the device will un-pair/disconnect from your phone or tablet, and the device stops completely. You then have to stop recording, pair the device with you phone or tablet. The app then forces your phone to stay awake for the app. Because of the phone sleeps, or you receive a call, you'll have to start all over again. Simply put, you can never leave the app, and your phone must remain "screen on" until you're finished. This causes your phone to heat up, loose tons of power, and you'll need to either turn on airplane mode, do not disturb or remove SIM card so this device will work without disconnecting if someone calls. And considering the iPhone and iPad all have background app refreshing, this is a dumb problem to have. This device has SO much potential, but the engineer who designed the app interface with the Galileo, killed this product. It's a shame actually.

Loads of fun and great for Panoramics and Spheres
Great. Have loved it so far. Does take a little getting use to and you do have to work with a number of different apps to tap all the features. Download the main Galileo app and it gives you quick access the many apps that are available for the Galileo. Activate/use the ones you want and ignore the others. I've played around with them to for fun and there are a couple of good ones. Since they change all the time, I won't say which I liked the best because by the time others are reading this the apps will have change, been upgraded, etc.

Marvelous, but a word of caution to those looking to use it with home monitoring apps
It's fantastic. I just wish I had the time to learn to use all the apps created for it. Some of them have rather steep learning curves, and some aren't designed terribly well. The Galileo itself if brilliant, though. A marvel.NOTE: Unlike the earlier version, this DOES NOT charge the phone. Meaning if you're planning to use it for the Presence app or some other home monitoring application, you will need the Motrr "reverse mount" which allows for charging.

Great product. Does the job well and the joystick control is easy to use. Worth the investment. I facilitate an interactive round table and work the camera at the same time . Get this device!

Dont Waste Your Money
I bought this hoping to get an easy to operate and understand device. It is not that. Too many apps. Too much money for the apps. Dont know what app does what. I think the people designing this were wanting to be all things to all people and they over complicated the device (and its uses).

Needs longer lasting battery
Good ideal but very short battery life limits usefulness .
