Works great
Installed this on a break barrel.177 pellet rifle. I'd gone through the original scope and 2 lasers trying to find something that fit. This was easy to install and surprisingly accurate out of the box. Without this, the rifle was useless. Now it's great for plonking.

This is the lowest quality item I've ever owned.
Absolute garbage. Could not be a worse scope, not even for the money. I've been shooting for well over 25 years; competitions, professionally, and for recreation/hunting. I bought this sight for use on a barn door star tracker for astrophotography, NOT for shooting. I expected low quality for the price, and was fully willing to accept that as it wasn't for use even on an inexpensive air gun - all it has to do is align a board with the North Star. No recoil to potentially upset the zero or damage parts. I literally just needed a dot.Quality of construction is garbage. Happy Meal toys are built to a higher standard. I wish I was joking or exaggerating at all. This is probably the single most poorly constructed item I've ever spent money on. If I found it on the ground in brand new condition, I'd deposit it in the nearest trash bin. "Made in China" sticker on the bottom seems almost comical, because this thing absolutely personifies every stereotype about "low quality" Chinese production. The battery door is a rubber cap that just slips on. Doesn't screw on, doesn't latch on, just a friction fit. Adjustments for elevation and windage are simply threaded screw knobs. No "clicking" between positions, just free rotating. Too free. I'm certain the recoil of a 22LR would drive this thing out of zero in no time, and you'd have no way of knowing what was correct, because there are no markings on the zero knobs of any type.Does NOT fit a picatinny rail. Will likely fit inexpensive airgun/toy gun dovetails, but not nearly large enough for a Picatinny rail. I cannot accurately express the pathetic quality of this scope. I wouldn't even let children have it for a first air gun, or a toy. If it was given to me for free, I'd throw it away.

its your $10 worth
If you are looking for a cheap red dot sight for your BB gun that will never be in any weather other than perfect. This is for you. I purchased it for one of my paintball markers and the first draw back I noticed was that if you adjusted the elevation knob to max, the wires going to the red dot laser are exposed and under tension. Secondly, the mount is made of very cheap plastic, as is the rest of the object. It probably would not stand up to rain (or a paintball hit) and it is not very durable (due to the cheap plastic). The battery is also mounting in a bad place, in order to replace it, you have to remove it from whatever you mounted it to. Lastly, the adjustment knobs don't always stay in place (your zero changes). As advertised, it is definitely for a BB gun and nothing else.On the positive side, the red dot is very bright and lasts at least 2-3 days continuously. The lens that the red dot is projected on is a little hazy, but is clear enough (both eyes should be open anyways...). The adjustment knobs adjust the entire set, not just the red dot, but it is easily zero able And it is very inexpensive. Had the mounting base not broken when I set down my paintball marker, I would have given it a better rating and kept it.Ultimately, you get what you pay for.

The Crosman red dot clamps directly onto a 0.435" barrel
First off, every bad review of this product is accurate. My unit had almost every single issue that has been written, here. But I fixed most all of them and more. For me, this sight was worth the small price I paid. But the real reason I wrote this review is to say that you can mount this sight directly to the barrel of, say, a 13xx or 2240. Anything with a 0.435" OD barrel or smaller. You just have to ditch the battery cover, and the sight mounts very securely by clamping directly to the barrel without the need for any additional mounting hardware. The up/down adjustment wheel and the nude battery holder just barely clear the top of the barrel. This method reduces the sight-to-bore axis error. You may have to bend the battery contacts and perhaps heat-melt the plastic tabs a little, and/or otherwise get creative in order to get the battery to stay in, securely. But it can be done.Additional info:The sight does not have an adjustable intensity; it is too bright for low light shooting. And battery life is poor. This is because there is no series resistor inline with the LED! If you are handy with tiny electronics and a soldering iron, you can fix this problem. The switch is held in by two small Phillips head screws, and is easily removed to access the wiring. If you're a wizard with a drill and a dremel, you can install a small trimpot right into the side of the housing next to the switch, in series with the power switch.

Fits the cheap 50 lb crossbow pistol
Really improved my aim.. I put bolts in a three inch circle constantly from 15 yards this is just for fun and past time.. just be careful when removing the battery cuz the plastic clips breaks easily. Battery has a film under it so needs to be removed to power it up.

Cheap garbage
Cheaply made, spend a couple dollars more and get something you can actually use and enjoy!

Best little sight on the market...
I love this little sight. I truly do. It's so simple and basic, but it fits like a dream, has a wider field of view and has a little On/Off switch that I find makes me giggle just a little when I use it. It holds it's zero very well though I don't have it on anything crazy powerful. It's accurate, easy to adjust - you don't even need TOOLS to adjust it as it has knobs, and quite low profile when compared to some of the other reflex sights. I dig mine so much I bought a second.

Easy Setup
Good quality though I did need to tighten the one adjustment screw a little.

Passable
Ok price and function, only problem is the elevation wheel is a bit free and just putting it away will move it and the rubber cap for the battery keeps coming off

Had to return
Couldn't get this to sit square on the rail due to the cheap plastic construction so I had to return for a refund. Talking to my local gunshop I found this is a common problem with these sights
